CBR vs. PO Riverside...desperate for your opinion

After a few weeks of nearly non stop research on our resort options, I have narrowed it down to 2 - Port Orleans Riverside and CBR. I am honestly stuck because I like them both for different reasons, so maybe those of you who are knowledgeable about these resorts can help me decide.

We will be there from November 16 - 23, and herein lies my indecision. I don't know much about Florida weather in November, but I'm guessing that it can be hit or miss at that time of year. If it was going to be warm, I would probably pick CBR for the pools. If it was not, I would probably pick POR for the location and transportation options.

So it comes to this. Will my kids be swimming in mid November, or should I plan on the fact that they will not be and go for location? Maybe it shouldn't even come down to pools, and you can enlighten me on choosing one over the other for different reasons.

I would love to be able to clear this last hurdle so I can book it and just relax. Help!

I go at the end of November and have been able to swim every day, up to the last two years; it has been chilly a few days here and there the last two years.

You shouldn't have any problem swimming in mid-November.

You know, unless zero entry is important to you (which CBR has and POR doesn't), they both really do have nice pool areas. If you'd rather pick POR except for the pools, don't feel like you are short changing your kids by going with POR. Old Man Isle or whatever it is they call it is a very nice pool facility and I like the way it is situated in particular.

Having stayed at both, I personally like the food court, theming and layout better at POR.

We have stayed at both resorts and we prefer POR. We like the food court better and the lush green landscaping. Also, the boat to DTD is a nice perk.

ditto.

I found the food court at CBR to be very noisy and chaotic. POR's was quieter and more relaxing.

Also, aside from the zero entry pool area at CBR where my then 4yo daughter played, (none of my kids liked the pirate ship due to the dumping bucket), overall I like the grounds of the POR pool area better.

Of course, I'd gladly stay at either resort again. Things I liked about CBR were our pirate rooms, the "beach" areas with hammocks, and being able to see fireworks in the evening.

Haven't traveled other than spring/summer, so can't help with swimming in November

You can't go wrong. If you can't decide, how about putting it up to a family vote?
