Just back from WL

Just returned last night from a glorious 10 night stay at WL. If anyone has it booked and has concerns, fear not. We were upgraded from a woodsview to a courtyard, mousekeeping was great and granted all requests, and bus transportation was flawless with the exception of one Studios day. The only fault I may find is the seating around the pool..many saved seats by 11:00. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions as you all helped me so much!

We just booked WL for next September. I am really concerned about the room size. They look tiny in the pictures. We've stayed at the moderates and have been pleased with the size, but for some reason everything looks so cramped together at the lodge.

Moderates are 314 square feet. Standard WL rooms have 340 square feet.

Thanks for the report. We'll be staying in WL for a few days in December. We're really looking forward to it.

BWV is very nice. Stayed there for a week a few years back. OK, like four years back. We had a boardwalk view, high floor, and if you can get this, go for it. The only thing better IMHO than looking out your window and seeing EPCOT, is looking out and seeing MK. We loved the infamous clown slide, and didn't have a problem with people reserving chairs at the pool.

(But I'm not picky. I've liked almost every resort we've stayed at in Disney and that's most of them- except Sports. Liked Music, but not Sports.)

Looking forward to our first WL stay in November. Is there room in the standard room to fit a full sized crib? (we would rent from an outside company since our DD2 won't fit in a pack n play). Also, does anyone know how tall the bedrails are that come on the bunk beds? I have wild sleepers and wondered if the rails are adequate or if I could slip a standard Disney bedrail under the mattress to provide extra protection!

I suppose with some furniture moving, a crib would go where the table and chair set would normally go. As PP stated, the queen beds take up most of the space for anything to go on the sides of the beds.

We are staying here for the 1st time in 2 weeks. I have been to the lodge several times and always said "we are gonna stay here one day." Now we finally are :woohoo:

Me, too...almost exactly that! We'll be there on Sept. 16 for our first WL stay.

Glad you liked it! We like it, also. It was the resort that got us back into the swing of Disney yearly after a long break! I think the BWV would be a nice choice. We love the BW area!

WL was the first deluxe for us. It definitely fixed the older kids and me as Disney fanatics. Dh came around the next year when we stayed at CR on military rates. They're my two favorite resorts, and I'm so happy to be going back to WL this year before Christmas.

Hope everyone having a trip coming up has a great time.
