Just booked Beach Club! Anything I should know?

Hey everyone! I'm SO excited to have a trip booked (December 8-11)! I grew up staying at the GF, and have also stayed at the Poly, Boardwalk, Yacht Club, and Animal Kingdom Lodge when I go with my family. (Pop and CSR have both been my resorts of choice when traveling with friends).

Anyways, I didn't really like the feel of the Yacht Club, but when I booked my special offer my only choices were BC or YC. I love the lobby of the BC but other than that I don't really know anything about the resort.

I'd love to hear your experiences and see if you have any tips to share. Of course I'll also be checking out the FAQ thread.

Congratulations. My tip is to enjoy yourself and soak up the beach club as much as you can as this resort is incredible. Enjoy your trip as I am so jealous.

Best greeter at Disney works there-Teena. She posts on the Y&B thread. Beaches and Cream is wonderful and there are lots of comfy sitting areas in the big room across from the Marketplace.

No tips but had a lovely stay there a few weeks ago. Staff was truly some of the friendliest I have experienced anywhere. Really made you feel welcome. Rooms were clean, beds were the most comfortable that I've ever slept in, loved Stormalong Bay and short walk to Epcot.

I've stayed at many Disney resorts from Value to Villas and in 40 trips I've gone since 1997 to Disney...I have to say that the Beach Club Villas was the best trip I ever had. I stayed there April 2010 for the 1st time and will be going back again October 2010 for Halloween time.

The Cast Members of all types at this resort were top notch, the room just awesome, the resort amenities were out of this world, the food was great, and I love how well the bus transportation worked at this resort.

After staying here I don't think I could ever stay at another resort at Disney. I'm hooked for life!!!

Get up a few minutes earlier than usual and walk over to the yacht club bus transportation instead of the beach club. BC bus stop gets insanely crowded in the morning (between 8 and 9). I'm sure people are going to say its fine, but I've been going to BC for the last 10 years and it's always terrible and I'm not traveling at peak times either.

Make sure you purchase or rent a "noodle" to float around Stormalong Bay. They are rather inexpensive and you purchase them right at the resort. We were just there in May (in the Villas) - without a doubt I think it is the best location @ Disney!
