Does anybody know an E-mail Address of Fax Number for the Port Orleans French Quarter?

Stayed there in April 2009 and want to request the same room when we stay in April 2011.

Rooms requests have to be attached to your room reservation. If you request an actual room, the assigner will overlook it, because they don't know why you want the room. It is not like a cruise line, where you can request a cabin number, if it is available.

Faxes are no longer used, because the computer sorts the requests made from the ressies, when they are received from the CRO to the actual resort.

The resort does not have a direct e-mail address nor a phone line. The phone number goes back to a Central Call Center.

Just indicate your requests on your reservation in the order they are important to you and be somewhat generic in nature so they can try to fill them all.

In addition, POFQ has refurbs scheduled, but they MAY be pushed back next year around early 2011. So that particular room might not even be available.

Don't press your luck. They filed the original paperwork for refurbs for all 7 buildings, one at a time, in Spring 2010. Just about a month and a half ago, they filed a second set of paperwork, stating that the refurbs would commence NO later than March 2011.

Last week, they took out more permits for POFQ, to refurb the elevators as well. The refurb per building would take a bit longer, when they roll the elevators into it - depending on what the scope of work is for the project.

Disney is always very vague on their building permit filings.

It is anyone's guess until you hear it right from the horse's mouth.....

do you have any latest news on the POFQ renovation? we are there 6-20 April and stayed in Block 1 before, do you know if this is likely to be finished or do you recommend we choose another block?

Hi! From the boards here and www.portorleans.org it sounds like only buildings 7, 6, 4, and now working on 5, are done. It seems like 1 may be one of the last to be refurbed, but according to these sources the refurbs are scheduled to be completed around April. There have been positive reports for the refurbed rooms, they sound really nice.

Check out www.portorleans.org and there is also a link here for POFQ-both maintained by someone with lots of knowledge, I think his name is Andre.

I'm sure someone here on the dis with more POFQ knowledge than me will post soon. I am just getting ready for my first POFQ trip next month and like you have been doing alot of research.
