Sorry, people at value resorts don't get ice. Disney rents more refrigerators if people can't filler coolers.

Just kidding! Yes, there are ice machines near the elevators. IRRC there is an ice machine on every floor. If I'm filling a cooler, I use a plastic grocery bag to collect the ice and bring it back to the room.

Funny you should "joke" like that! I've heard people with similar conspiracy theories....they say that Disney puts a chemical in the water fountain water to make it taste so bad that you buy their beverages!! Perhaps??...........
