Advice for EPCOT WORLD SHOWPLACE (MILLENNIUM VILLAGE)

We are headed down at the end of the week and will spend 2 days at Epcot next week. Does anyone have any advice for finding characters at Millennium Village? We have never spotted characters here. Also, is it obvious when they are there? will you be able to tell walking by or do you have to walk up to where the wall is usually closed?

Not sure if there are any set times for this or not. Our March trip we had two epcot days and each of those days went over three 3 times.. and never any characters.
Then went in June/July and figured why bother looking, but went over one day before our Le Cellier ADR and low and behold, there were characters! Woohoo!
you can tell because the brown doors are open, so just look in and will be able to easily see them. Just by walking by you will be able to tell easily.

Hopefully someone can post if they know if there are any set times they do come out.

Memorial week, they were out between 12-1. Wendell the bear was out front, and when we went to see him, we realized that there were about 8 other characters behind him. It was very obvious when we got up there.

We saw Smee, Stitch, Baloo, Annie from Little Einsteins, Max, Rafiki, and Meeko...there were a couple more but we didn't get to all of them before they all had to leave.

I can tell you when they won't be there...Friday-Sunday, August 27-29. There is a pin and vinylmation event scheduled in the World Showplace.

It isn't generally open - it is used primarily for special events. The entrance area just happens to be a convenient location if they want to throw some random character m&gs in.
