AIRFARE Pricing - Will it go down again???

I've been holding out on booking flights in November for my trip - PHL (Phila) to MCO. They were holding steady at $84 each way and now have jumped back up to $100 each way. Farecast reports show they will dip down again, but not sure how much longer I should out.

Anybody else watch fares? If so, can you provide any insight if prices will go up or down for/by November. My dates are 11/10 through 11/15.

Appreciate any feedback.:surfweb::confused3

I've been watching PHL to MCO too, but for December. I booked when they first came out just in case, and they both went up-- $28 to, $51 from MCO. I'm really hoping they go down again, I think I need to switch our flights a day ahead, so I'm hoping they go back down and at least break even.

From what I've read, it might change around 90 days, I'm hoping so at least.

I had been waiting for November fares to drop on Jetblue out of Dulles. They had been around $100 each way. This week they had a sale and I got them for $69 each way. So airlines do have sales, when they need to. I often check the flight I want and see if it's close to be sold out. Most of the flights I'm waiting for are still pretty empty, which means they will have a sale in the future or cancel the flight. I don't see them flying a plane that only has 20 seats sold on it.

The Bing Fare Predictor shows Delta has the best price for your dates at $100.00 each way and that they've been holding fairly steady. Their recommendation is to buy now and they show a 68% level of confidence in that recommendation. That means you have about a 32% chance that the price will drop for your dates. Take that for what you will - YMMV. Good luck!

You could also try to get two of the SW $25 coupons (if there's just two of you traveling - don't know) and then book each person on their own. That would make it $75.00 each way.

I've read on this board about SW discounts, but still can't find how to get them. Can you or anyone advise how to do this?

I booked Airtran from BWI to MCO three months ago for the Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 27th and returning on December 4th. I am going non-stop, both ways.

I got the lowest fare; $99.00 going down and $59.00 coming back. They have never gotten lower and have gone steadily higher. And both ways, the plane is almost full.

Just saw my Airtran flight down in price to $79-outbound and $99-return. Do you think this will be the lowest I find them or continue to wait?

Does anyone have any insite on Southwest or US Air sales out of PHL???

I wish I knew. The flight I was just watching went up to $151!! :scared1:

That doesn't sound too bad for an Air Tran flight though. :goodvibes

Just remember when you compare prices on SW vs Airtran to add in the luggage fees with Airtran.

If you enjoy gambling and can afford to pay a higher fare if your gamble doesn't pay off, then wait and see if fares go down. Recongize also that the potential additional savings is likely very small from where prices are right now. If the fare fits your budget and you aren't much of a gambler, however, buy now and be done with it.

I've been watching Delta and Airtran for our trip in November. They've been holding steady for weeks until today. They went WAY down. Saved us about $125 per person from ATL.

Airtran-their sale ends today but flights on your dates are currently as low as $79. If you're going to book them, book soon!

I booked my flights and am done with it. It's actually a relief since I've been hawking all air flight sights to secure best deal for weeks now. I don't think I'll beat $79 each way out of PHL....this seems to be the cheapest I've seen for months.

Now I can just relax and look forward to going! It's a Birthday Girls' trip for just me and my daughter. Fun awaits!

we booked 12/3 with Airtran at 100 ea. If it goes down ill call and get the credit. Still watching for 12/11. Right now it is $151.00. Hoping it goes down as we are coming from the cruise we cant get the early flights.

Our flights for Christmas from Philly to Fort Myers have gone up $200 EACH since we booked when Southwest advertised the ticket sales.
