Wedding Dress. I bought my dress before I had the a ring on my finger (see Post #8 for 2 sentences on my dress).
Anyways, I didn't feel like I devoted a proper amount of attention to the dress.
So pics (without me in them/and ignore the model, I'm much shorter and have many more curves):

It's lovely. I love the "beaded metallic embroidery" its sooo pretty. The dress also is flattering on my body type. I am on the short (5' 4") curvy side (plus size).
A) It covers my chest and I don't have to worry about it. I don't want the girls to be saying "hello world" on my wedding day. And when trying on dresses, I think that is exactly what some of the dresses would be like.
B) Side draping and A-line is always helpful to a curvy girl. I put it on and said "wow, this makes me look skinny"
C) It wasn't particularly heavy. I was worried about this aspect, as I don't handle heat well, at all. And I picked an outdoor, beach wedding (what was I thinking?)
D) It doesn't have a lot of detailing on the lower half of the skirt, which makes altering the dress easier and cheaper. It needs shortened. And I'm debating having the train cut off so I don't have to worry about it in the sand.
I will say I never got the "this is the one" feeling with the dress (but I love it). I think I was just shell shocked
since I bought the dress months before I had a ring on my finger (although we had picked the wedding place, date, already). I don't know that I ever pictured myself as a bride and I'm not a heels, make up, perfect hair, kind of girl, so while I want to be a princess on my wedding day. The whole dress thing was kind of odd to me. If any of that makes any sense.
My mom kept telling me the dress was perfect. And when my grandma saw it, she cried. So sweet. And helped me get over the
about all of it.
I'm so excited about the dress now. And am counting down until September.
Note to anyone whose been following: I added a "how we met" to the first page and an index. I'm slowing working to improve my planning journal.
