that not a stupid question that a good question i dont know the name of the road i know their one on oceloa parkway that leads to the animal kingdom i guess that a main entrance. but i think the main one leads into mk i heard it before well their someone that will know the name their some disney buses diver on the dis that i am sure know all the road name that be able to help.

I don't know about that. All I know is World Drive is where the Welcome to Disney World gate is.

I think it would be easier to figure out where there is not a Welcome Gate. Because most of the roads in have that.

Correct - there are 2 places that look like the main entrance with the sign over it.

World Drive, off 192 also an exit on I-4 for it and also off Osceola Parkway.

I would say Magic Kingdom is accessed from World Drive (runs north-south). Epcot is accessed from Epcot Center Dr (runs roughly east-west in front of the entry), Disney Hollywood Studios is accessed from East Buena Vista Drive (runs roughly east-west), and Animal Kingdom is accessed from Osceola Parkway (runs east-west).

Osceola Parkway and Buena Vista Drive cross World Drive with classic clover leaf interchanges, and Epcot Center Drive terminates at World Drive.

There is also one on Western Way if you enter the property off of FL429 and there is a partial sign on Hotel Plaza Blvd if you enter near Downtown Disney. The DTD one doesn't arch over the road - it is a big sign on the side.

So, I think to sum up what everyone has said, there are Welcome signs arched over the road at:
World Drive, coming off US192
Osceola Parkway, off of I4 or FL417
World Centre Drive, off of I4 or a continuation of SR536
Western Way, off of FL429

and a partial sign at DTD/Hotel Plaza Blvd.

I vote for the World Dr., as it was the original main entrance road, it has the most traffic lanes, it leads directly to the MK and the main entrances to the next 2 parks come off it, and it has the widest and most elaborate arch.

we like the "back" way. Sherbeth road, off 192.
we exit the turnpike on 429. take it to 192. turn left and go to sherbeth road. it brings you to Osceola parkway. turn right and it takes you to buena vista drive . (no fanfare, though)
western way, also off 429 is a great way to get to buena vista drive.

from the east, off Apopka/vineland road, is the entrance to the disney hotels (by the Crossroads shopping center) this is also buena vista drive, which is pretty much tha main east/west raod through disney property.

ask your resort to send you a map of the disney property. it's good, cause it also shows which intersections are stoplights, and which are ramps.

but, since a lot of people mistakenly believe Magic Kingdom IS Disney, World drive is usually considered the main gate. (kissimee motels will define themselves by "main gate, east gate)
