Best time to book airfare?

We are traveling to the world Dec 1-5th and havent booked airfare yet. I'm kind of waiting to see if it goes down any, its about 100 bux more PP than when we went in may. So in everyones best opinion when is the best window to book airfare? Do you think it will go down at all in the next month or two? Or is this it and I should just book now? I just cant get over that it is so much more on this trip! In may I paid 800 for 4 of us to fly and now its like 614 for just 2 of us.
:worship: Praying to the airfare gods that it will go down soon! :worship:

So what do you all think? Am I stuck with what I have in terms of price, or is there still hope?

Hard to say-especially not knowing your route. I know how things usually run for where I fly from but can't really give advice on your home airports.

What I can say is keep checking-each day and many times a day. I have great luck on Mon-Wed, between 10am and 2pm. Why?I have no idea it just seems that they drop in price during that time:confused3 I have snagged some great prices only to watch them go up an hour later. I know they only sell a few seats at each price point but other then that I have no idea what's up. But I never look a gift horse in the mouth ;)

Good luck:thumbsup2

bing travel will give you a fair history for the dates and cities of your trip, and that will give you an idea. They also give a prediciton of prices will drop or rise, but i have NO IDEA how accurate it is. But, I think it's worth taking a look at.

Im coming from ma also. I know we just booked our tickets tonight for Nov/Dec trip rt nonstop flights with flight times I wanted came out to $253 each on Jet blue thats around the same price I've payed the last two years with 1 stop in each direction as well as odd hour arrival and departure with airtran. So I jumped on it. I think it depends on how flexible you are and if your willing to do a stopover I know the prices looked good to me and I used orbitz for price assurance. I know I'll be happy to not have to transfer and wait for a plane with little ones this time also happy I won't have to pay for carry one bags.

253 round trip each? Is that with tax and fees and everything? Thats a pretty decent price. I was also looking at jetblue but everything for our dates adds up to over 300 each. Maybe it will go down, prays! Otherwise more expensive it is

We're on the verge of canceling and rescheduling.

Right now the current price per person is $563 from PIT to MCO.,,

We're not driving and we're not paying $3000 to fly to Orlando.
