Motorhome & Disney

we are thinking of getting a motorhome and I am wondering if there is a board for people with motorhomes who travel to disney

We are wondering everything from gas mileage, and purchase price and places to staying on property

any help would be appreciated

There is a "Camping at Disney World" forum, at the same location where you'll see the "Transportation" forum we're in now. That's one place to go, but probably mostly for using the FW campground.

For other questions, this is certainly a good forum as well. A motor home is as much a mode of transportation as any other.

Sounds like you'd have more luck with some of your questions on an RVing website (there's lots). Although I'm sure there's quite a few here who use motorhomes, you'd get even more people there. But, as some PPs suggested, there's is the camping at Disney forum and such to get some of your questions answered. I can't wait to make a trip in mine (but it's a real long trip )

There's so many different kinds of motorhomes (with huge price ranges), it would pay to do your research as they're not very good investments.

hmm don't know of any RV sites, can you recommend any??? I only had this brainstorm a week ago,in that time I have narrowed by focus to a Four winds Majestic 23 a or p around 2005 and am now looking for input from other owners on their likes and dislikes or other comporable makes

It's a broader category that includes travel trailers and motor homes.

BTW, we've seen many RV's (motor homes) parked in the rear parking lot at Pop Century. People use them to travel to WDW--or include other destinations in their travels--then stay at Pop Century and use WDW transportation while there.

That is what we hope to do. Air travel is getting higher and our kids will be in school so we will switch to school vacation times- Peak travel times are CRAZY, this will allow us to travel during them but drive to our destinations and take in sites along the way. Hopefully staying in the campground most of the time and maybe springing for a few days in a moderate or even deluxe for a few days! Woooohhhoooo
