Opening Team - Disney Dream

On our last cruise, our servers and stateroom hostess told us that the opening team for the Dream had already been chosen, and that those CM's who would be opening would report to Germany in early November to train and cross the Atlantic. None of the CM's we spoke to were on the team, but we know many more who we didn't get a chance to ask.

So far, the only CM's that I know of who will be on the Dream are Rachel as CD and Captain Tom.

So, who do you know that's going over to the Dream?

Daniel from England will be a Food & Beverage officer. (I know he's going to Germany in the fall)

Simone from Italy will be a head server (unless he gets promoted...which would be well deserved)!

Grissell from Peru and her darling husband Julien from France will also be on the Dream as servers.

O'Neill from Jamaica will be on the Dream. He was our server on our Wonder B2B in June and was looking forward to it! He's been with the Wonder for a long time (I think he said at least 7 years) and was totally awesome!

Just curious about the first cross Atlantic voyage I posted a similar question on another thread - sorry for the repitition Does the entire crew go to Germany and then sail cross the Atlantic together, or just part of it? Do they ports of call? I think this is so neat - I love to hear the details! Thanks for posting about the crew - that's fun to hear from where they are gathering crew...

We had Daniel in the Baltic and he was by far our favorite server we have ever had on DCL! (as was the asst server Greenidge!) We were disappointed to hear he was leaving the Magic since we were hoping to see him again next cruise. The Dream is going to have a great team!

I vote yes! Hopefully this thread will get very long as people report in. As a matter of fact, I have friends on the upoming Dover/Barcelona cruise and gave ALL the DISers the assignment of checking on crew and staff to see who might be moving to the Dream. And I just might mosey over to the meets threads for the next couple of Wonder sailings and do the same thing!
