Thanks for making a new one. I cant wait to see if there are any changes this year.

Never been but thinking of going Sept. 30th (my bday!:cool1:) What do any of you know about taking a 15 yr old? Is he WAY beyond all the little kid stuff?

Love the thread!!

Rumored Changes for 2010
Cinderella's Carriage will not be available.

Snow and her dwarfs may be relocating to the Fantasyland Skyway area (aka day time stroller parking).

Pooh and friends may be meeting at the Tour Guides Garden (their current day time location).

No word on the new locations for the Ariel Grotto dance party or Tremaines' meet and greet location.

Man, I'm glad we went last year. I'd be devastated if they didn't have the carriage out! (OK, so maybe DEVASTATED is the wrong word, but man I LOVE that photo op!) But they DO need a prettier spot for Snow and her group.

Maybe they'll add it to MVMCP??? A December Disney bound girl can dream, right?????

Thanks for compiling all the info!! :thumbsup2 We went to our first MNSSHP last year on 10/1 and had a blast! We never saw the Mickey white ghost photo opp. :confused3. I completely forgot about it until I saw other pictures. I thought I just read it's near The Crystal Palace - is this correct?

We'll likely go on 10/28 this year and we can't wait!!! :cool1:

Heather

We are going on 10/28, this will be our 3rd year going- it is always a great time- can't wait!!

That stinks about the carriage! I hope it isn't true.

We are thinking of going November 1st. Has anyone been to the last party before? How were the crowds? Is there a good or slim chance of it selling out?

Yay, a new thread! I'm going on October 24, 26, and 28, and I can't wait

In my experience, it's typically less crowded at the second parade and even less crowded in Liberty Square or Frontierland.

Three times -- YAY you !! Thanks for tip on the parade in liberty and frontierland - I have added that.

:goodvibesthanks for the tips- there are soooo many characters on the list! i guess i will have to pick and choose. this will be my frist year so keep the tips coming.

I am really hoping my DH will be willing to wait in line for a couple characters. At least snow white and the 7 dwarfs. We have done deluxe dining on two different 11 day trips so he is spoiled with the kids meeting them at meals and not waiting in any types of lines.

Our first MNSSHP - our first trip!!! Oct 28 for the party for us too!
I LOVE Halloween so this is super awesome!

Welcome to the list of people who will be attending for the first time :woohoo:

Woo-Hoo! I am so glad you started a new thread for the party this year! We are going on October 24 -- The following Monday is a teacher workday for Lake County schools, so my DD can sleep in and I can go grade semester exams in zombie mode! :surfweb:

We haven't been to the party in three years, so we can't wait -- I am already busy making costumes! We are going as characters from the web comic When Curiosity Met Insanity (which is in turn based on the Disney Park characters). Hubby will be The Mad Hatter (Reginald Theophilus III), I’ll be an older/adult Alice and DD(8) will be Lorina Theophilus. We are such geeks! It was all DD's idea, I'm just running with it!

Your costumes sound really cute -- I am still trying to decided if I will try and talk DH and DS into dressing up for the party. I hope lots of students benefit from you being in a good mood while grading those papers ;)

Thanks for the thread! We are going to MNSSHP for the 1st time Sept 28th

Can't wait to hear from other if we will be able to get in before 7pm.

You are very welcome - I think this is something a lot of people will be waiting to hear back on.

I am actually doing something that I hope I don't end up regretting -- We arrive at Disney World at 3:00pm on the 11th, we do not plan on going to a park at all on this day - just relax after the flight from Colorado and enjoy SAB. The next day Oct 12th - my daughter has an 11:00 appt. at BBB so I thought that would be the perfect night to do the party. I kept going back and forth on if we should do the party mid-trip but as we get deeper into the 12 day trip they start dying off :rotfl: So I am hoping the excitment - 2 hour time change and MK will keep them going until midnight - hope I don't regret this choice !

We're attending MNSSHP on Oct 12th! Can't wait!!!

Same night as us --- only 94 more days :yay:

Yay!!
We will be participating for our first time on September 18. My DH, DD and I are planning on dressing up as pirates this year to celebrate. My DD and I are going to go to Pirate League that evening about 5:20pm for a pirate makeover. DH isn't really into the makeover thing so he will wear his pirate hat and whatever else I can talk him into wearing to go with it. Wish me luck on this one?
Anyway - thanks for all the tips and such, I really appreciate it.
Does anyone have pics from previous years by chance? Are the t-shirts pretty cool or are the pics we will take memory enough?
One more question - we aren't going to be able to buy our tickets until after our trip is paid in full. Will we still be able to buy tickets for MNSSHP in early September?
Have a Disney Day, Renee

I will totally wish you luck on getting your DH to dress up -- please do the same for me  I will get the link to the previous years photos and link it to the first post very soon. As this is my first party I hope someone else will be able to answer all your questions :wizard:

DH & I are going sometime in October! Hopefully we'll iron out the details this weekend so we can book soon!

:wizard::wizard:

Mmm, love that new thread smell!

We'll be going October 3, the first day of our trip. This'll be our second MNSSHP but I've since realized that we missed a lot on the first, so part of me feels like this will be my first real MNSSHP. I can't wait!

So glad to read I am not the only one crazy enough to do the party on our first full day at MK. :rotfl:

Your list on page 1 shows Mickey and Minnie near Expo hall at the front of the park. I don't know if they moved around, but we saw them separately by their houses. If they were together, I would have been all over that!

We went twice last year 9/29 and 10/1. If anyone has questions, let me know!

I actually removed the tip about Mickey and Minnie being in their houses because I thought I had read a thread about Mickey being evicted from his home because of construction of fantasyland. Is Minnie still in her house do anyone know? I thought the houses were becoming a thing of the past - but maybe it was only temporary. I do think I remember seeing pictures with them both together - but maybe that was DL - I look at so many pictures - my DH says I should try and keep it a surprise to myself - yeah right :rolleyes

Thanks for creating the new post! This is our first time attending - going September 21st!

Hope the weather is good and I can't wait to dress up!:hippie:pirate:

Welcome-- seem like a lot of first timers here :wizard: Hope we can learn tons from the vetern party-goers !

Thanks for creating the thread. This will be my first MNSSHP and we are attending on Sept 14th - the first night. Love the tips - keep 'em coming!

Thanks again!

 The first night -- lucky you !! We will be waiting to here a full report when you return -- take notes please :lmao:

Going on Oct 1! Can't wait!

:wizard: I don't want the summer to be over to fast - but I would like October to get here - doesn't make any sense - I know :upsidedow

We went last year for the first time & will be returning this year Sept 21! It'll be me, DH, DD5, and DS almost 2. :) We had a fantastic time last year & DD's candy bag was overflowing!! One CM gathered up as much as she could in her arms & dumped it in! LOL It was the end of the night, so there's something to be said for that...

We didn't get many pics w/ characters...every line we got on closed, or they went on break, it seemed. We didn't want to waste all that time waiting...I plan on more characters this year.

Funny thing - today my DD (6) asked "Will we have to eat all the candy before we get on the plane to come home ?" Could you even imagine :scared1: I told her I would bring an extra suitcase and she starts telling me about security at the airport :rotfl2: - I then explained the liquid thing (again) - I have to say it is hysterical that at 6 she even knows such things about traveling. I really hope we have better luck with the characters - DH is not fond of waiting to meet characters to begin with.

Thanks for making a new one. I cant wait to see if there are any changes this year.

I think we may see quite a few changes due to construction - but I hope the Cinderella Carriage being gone is not one of them

First timers here! It'll be DH and myself! We're going on October 24 and October 26!!!

Welcome :grouphug:

Never been but thinking of going Sept. 30th (my bday!:cool1:) What do any of you know about taking a 15 yr old? Is he WAY beyond all the little kid stuff?

That would be way cool to be there for it on your b-day. I have never been but I would say from looking at pics - with all the villians and ghoulish goblins your son should enjoy himself -- didn't seem to little kidish to me at all

Love the thread!!

CHARACTERS -

Thank you so much for giving us a correct list from 2009. It is great how you broke it into the lands - loved it. I have replaced the list on the first post with your info. Do you know are Mickey and Minnie's houses still in operation? I wasn't sure of this. And what would be the reason for not having the carriage ? I think this is a huge draw and could really be a let down for a lot of people. So I hope someone heard it from a bus driver :lmao:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:sad1::sad2:
This says how we all feel about the carriage rumor !!!

Don't get your hopes up about the MVMCP because we are hoping and wishing this is untrue :scared1:

I'm thinking of going November 1st but get to WDW Oct 23 so I have a few options....is Nov 1st still fun or are the CM's just glad its almost over? Should I pick another day?

Does anyone know if the fireworks show is the same one shown last year at Disneyland? If it was - that is the BEST fireworks show I have ever seen. On non-paryt nites, do they show the same fireworks or is it exclusive to the party?

We went on Nov 1st a couple years ago and had a blast. The one and only time I went and man did we get the candy. It wasn't too busy IMO... And still had all the feel of Halloween Night!!

We are going September 30th, and we were so happy to read about the Military Discount tickets to MNSSHP! It will save a lot of money!!!

My tip for readers: Florida is hot, even at night. If you wear a lot of fabric over your regular clothes, you might be sweating like a you-know-what! Carefully think out your costumes. :)

I have read from a few other people who attended on Nov.1st that the party was awesome. The crowd was almost nothing and the candy was plentiful -- I mean at that point what else they going to do but give it away

I watched the halloween fireworks of Disneyland via youtube -- those fireworks were unreal :goodvibes But unfortunatly when I watched the ones posted on youtube of DW there was no big talking moon thing (not sure what to call that) and they did not seem as good to me. I did however read they got awesome feedback at DL so hopefully they will add this to DW (I can Dream !)
On the calendar of events for non-party nights at 9:00 "SpectroMagic" Parade and at 10:00 the fireworks are listed as Wishes™ Nighttime Spectacular. On the days of the party the park closes to guests who are not attending MNSSHP without any parade or fireworks.

No problem!! I know that other list has circulated a lot of threads (for a couple of years), so thank you for taking the time to update the first post!!

The carriage info is very much a rumor, but I'm a person that likes to plan for the worse and prefer to be informed of possible changes. Let's hope it doesn't pan out.

However, Snow and her dwarfs have to move as their former location is blocked by a giant wall. I think the Fantasyland Skyway is a beautiful option (it's the location Snow meets at during MVMCP), but then there is no where for the carriage to go.

As for Toon Town, it's still up and operational and all indicators point to Toon Town staying in place through 2010. Those meet and greets are expected to stay at the houses this year but next year (2011) they will certainly be different.

Joining the list of 1st timers and those who are going on Oct 28th!! Can't wait. We've been to MVMCP and really enjoyed that and have only heard great things about MNSSHP!! I've read/heard elsewhere that the party that has typical sold out in the past is Halloween night and maybe some others close to Halloween or weekends close to Halloween. People who can do trips just for the party will typical do Halloween night or the weekends.

Thanks for creating the thread. Can't wait to start hearing about the first parties!
