Frozen Zebra domes....Who Knew????? That would certainly help with the problem of melting "to go" zebra domes. Yum!

That whole breakfast looks so amazing. I love Boma and could definitely see a Boma Breakie in my future!!!!!! I also love AKL. Such a beautiful resort!

Hi! The zebra domes are flavored with Amarula- it is not coffee. My DH hates coffee, too, and he likes them! :goodvibes And lucky you, staying at the Poly!! :worship: I have wanted to stay there since I was a child- I think I may have to figure that into my plans some day..

I bet you could ask for a CM to sell them to you even at the Mara from the freezer. Why not?

Yes!!! I think we are starting a frozen zebra dome trend!! :cool1:

After breakfast was done, we took another walk around Jambo house- I just love showing off my home resort to people who have never been(you know- because I'm so responsible for how lovely it is!)- and that was Joan & Pam. I think it is themed so, so well, and I feel instantly relaxed and happy when i am there! :cloud9: Lonnie says it is her favorite place to stay at WDW, and Kara is also a big fan...Cammie...not so much. Anyway, we all wanted to take a look at the animals...

I was so happy my next stay would be at AKV concierge with Pods in September! We did a little shopping in that amazing gift shop before leaving...and I broke down and bought myself a Dooney & Bourke bag!! :cool1: I got the tonal Mickey mail carrier bag- after Kara reasoned me into it...and I am so glad that's the one I chose, thanks for the push in the right direction, Kara. :woohoo: I use it all the time, it is very pretty and also very practical. http://www.disneystore.com/dooney-b...arrier-bag-by-dooney-bourke/p/1265507/313202/

Then it was time to hop back into Lonnie's magical mystery van and head over to AK for the day.... coming up soon!! Thanks so much for reading and commenting- the comments actually keep me writing! :thumbsup2

AKL is just so wonderful. We need to stay there again some time soon!

And wow!! that's a great looking bag - sorry had to look it up using your link! :goodvibes  I need to give Tom a hint since he is always looking for Christmas/Birthday gifts! ;)

The other great thing about that bag? It's $95 and not $200+, AND I used my AP discount again. And I want to say it was less than $95 in that store, but I'm not certain. Hope you like yours at Christmas!! :thumbsup2

Yea- I know, it's a BIG problem!! :scared1: :rotfl: Really, I've never been to Bermuda- which, if you've lived in NJ your entire life (which I HAVE- yes, I am a REAL housewife of NJ!) (where is that TAG FAIRY????? :lovestruc) is unheard of- I might actually be the only 47 year old woman in the state who hasn't been. No joke. And my boys would LOVE to go on a BIG ship. But....well, you know...the Disney addiction. Besides, that will be a BIG ship, too- with the added bonus of not being nickel and dimed to death while on board- we can bring our own case of water, wine, Capt Morgan- there is a lot to be said for lowering our bar bill! :thumbsup2

And those Frozen ZDs are THE way to go- I will be buying them in the future at the Mara to freeze myself on vacation. :rolleyes1

I know! I think that all the extra freebies, especially when traveling with kids, makes up for the added expense on DCL. We thought the food and service were amazing! I will have to compare on RCCL this fall though, I have nothing to compare to yet. People have a whole industry dedicated to sneaking booze on cruise ships and then if they catch you, they can throw you off! Not worth the risk, I'm thinking.

Oh, and I love that bag!

Thanks for posting the AKL photos. AKLs (either resort) are my favorites. We are staying at Jambo during our mini-trip at the end of Oct. We are waitlisted for Kiandi but it really does not matter if the wait-list comes through or not. I am just happy to be going to "The World".

My friend, Laura, just came back from 8 nights on Carnival- she said they allowed you to bring water bottles on board- and she packed them in her luggage- but filled them with all different flavored vodkas. I thought that was pretty inventive- but I think I still want to do DCL! :rotfl:

I'mmmm back! :cool1: Now I have to find the posts from June 13th and start catching up with the TR.

I love zebra domes. I never thought about them having the liquor in them. We scarffed down two boxes a year ago (including my kids :scared1:). Then someone told me you can get them made with or without the liquor. I will have to be more carefule next time I get them from Mara.... Oh wait that is less than a month away.

Two awesome AKL finds concierge and that awesome purse. That is a great purse. For some reason I hadn't seen that one. And you got a discount. :thumbsup2

Dave and I haven't stayed at AKL conceirge since 2003. Love the AKL concierge they are the best.

I must be the odd one out. I don't like zebra domes. :rolleyes1 Please don't beat me.

I LOVE that bag!

OK, I'm here say a quick "Hello" and that I will figure out how to upload pictures soon (I'm the clueless one who WANTS to be a DISMom, but doesn't have a photobucket account yet and has the instructions scrawled on a napkin...yeah, I'm THAT stupid), but it's after midnight and I need to go yell at my kids to go to bed! I will be back tomorrow night to comment on DTD (either confirm, deny, or just not tell......LOL) and Breakfast at Boma, etc, etc.....

You must be getting really excited for your trip!! I wouldn't feel too bad about kids and zebra domes- I doubt there is a whole lot of alcohol in there- I mean, they don't card you when you buy them, do they?

And I agree, concierge is the BEST!! :yay: Not great views, but worth it for all the perks. Can't wait to do it again!

Honestly, I was not a big fan until I had them frozen...so I promise not to beat you!

Boma is a n absolute must do on my Solo trips !!!That Juice is heavenly!!!!

It is great juice. Boma is a great buffet!

YAY!!! :yay: :woohoo:  :yay: :woohoo: I'm so happy you are going to post!! I am very lonely over here writing a TR made by 6 people but written by ONE- that's ME! I LOVE IT when everyone has something to say and I can't wait to read what you write AND see your photos!! Thanks, Joan!! You're the BEST!!!:yay:

Boma breakfast sounds really good! I'm not a very adventurous eater, but it looked like there was quite a bit I would enjoy. AKL is DH's dream resort, so maybe someday I'll get to eat there. :confused3

I am sure that Ellen told you that a photobucket account is absolutely essential to being a DisMom (or any type of Diser), so you better get your patootty in gear Missy and get those pictures uploaded. Can't wait! popcorn::

Well, I'm very late, but I'm joining in. I have had so enjoyed reading this report! You girls are having such a good time it makes reading the report a lot of fun too! I can't wait to read the rest.

I love that D & B bag. I have some Disney gift cards left over from Christmas and I'm planning on getting that exact bag with some of them.

Terri

Okay, I'm all caught up. Looks like DTD was a blast for all the DISmoms! Those poor, tortured bartenders and the enebriated tourists they must contend with! :rotfl2:
I must ask, do these look like "poor, tortured bartenders" to you?:confused3

They loved us, especially the new, expanded version of "us"......:woohoo:

This has to be my very favorite picture from this trip....so apologies for reposting it! It just makes me happy and brings back great memories!:goodvibes

I have to add here that it only took me an hour and a half to figure out how to post pictures once I got the Photobucket acct set up....I swear I completely lost every last brain cell when I had kids!!! :rotfl: So, Ellen, I'm now in bidness and you won't be the only ONE from this party of SIX posting, at least for the next couple days!!
