YEAH for a honeymoon!
I know what you mean about cruising! We love it...However DH will only travel on a disney ship! We've done a 4 day and a 3 day on the disney wonder and loved it. OK Ok...So, never ever take a 3 day...by the time you actually start to relax...the vacation is OVER! We're doing a 7 day alaskan cruise on the Disney Wonder as our honeymoon in 2011...Can't wait!

Lol! I wouldn't take a Disney cruise, not until I have kids at least. My cousin did one with his kids and was miserable because we're gamblers. He called before they left port and was practically crying bc there's no casino. LMAO!! I have to admit that I don't gamble at home but on a cruise I do!! And it takes up a lot of time.

We love carnival cruise lines. We've been on 3 cruises together and love the beds. They are so comfy.

Th trip report will def happen once I get back. I'll include it in the wedding report Hopefully I'll have pictures by then!

I so agree with your thoughts on not planning a wedding close to the end of the school year!! I work in a middle and high school and the eval reports, IEP etc are killing me. Not to mention the building tension with budget cuts. I have had to get an extra massage because of my neck and shoulder tension.

How great you are going on a cruise. I kind of know what you mean about going to Disney so often. last week I thought of canceling our one week honeymoon at Disney after he wedding and going to Keys West as we got a great deal on a hotel. Then I thought I can't keep changing things. I would think living in Miami, close to the Keys would be great. I have only been to the Keys a couple of times but we love it.

I think once you go on a non-Disney cruise you may not go back They are wonderful!

That's what this whole mess at work is about. We got audited and there were some problems with IEPs matching matrixes. It wasn't any of my IEPs but now the whole special ed department is having to double check work that the specialist should have done when she first gets IEPs. It's not my job and now I'm having to so someone elses work, ugh!!

I'm not crazy about the Keys. I like it but the beaches are so much nicer in Miami Beach, they're so rocky at the Keys. But I'm not a beach person much anyway, lol. I work down south in Florida City so the first key is 20 minutes from my job, we go fishing sometimes and we often go hang at the bars on Isla Morada.

So last night I went to the dress store for my final fitting. Everything was perfect, it fit great! Only issue was that the women had pulled the corset so tight that it shortened the dress so now we know we can't pull it too tight.

One issue we are having is my mom's dress. She ordered it about 6 weeks ago from Alfred Angelo and even paid a rush fee for it so it would be here by this week. Well it just shipped today and may not be here until next friday!!!

She's super worried that it will need a ton of alterations because she's lost about 10lbs since she ordered it but I'm hoping it will be fine.

That's great that your dress is perfect, can't wait to see pics of you in it. What a deal you got on the excursions, and it all sounds so fun. Lol, I want to do ziplining but I'm really afraid of heights so I don't think it's the best idea for me. I'd love to hear what you thought about it though after you get back.

Yes, the excursions were an amazing price!! We never do excursions because we find them sooooooooooo expensive but now we're good!

Packing
I suck at this part... I've been doing a lot of laundry so I can separate the clothes we want to pack but I usually just pack for me... now I'm packing for Danny too. He works so much that he's never home, and when he is home we take advantage and do major things like filling out the forms and making CDs for the DJ, and filling and packing the welcome bags. Packing our clothes I can do. I just hate doing it, lol!

I've packed my wedding day & night bag. And I have separated about 2 days worth of clothes so far. When I do my last two loads of laundry tonight I will have most of the clothes we want clean and packed.

Mom's dress dilemma
The store called yesterday and my mom's skirt was in but the top was not and they didn't have any shipping info on it other than it has been shipped. Ugh, this is so frustrating and the on ly consolation is that my mom has lost so much weight that finding something to fit her shouldn't be a problem. She went from a sz 12 to a sz 6 so finding something at Macy's shouldn't be a problem.

Update: As I was typing this up I spoke to the store... the top won't be in today so they are going to refund me the money. My mom is so pissed... and of course it's directed at me. Like I need to deal with this a week before we leave?!

Favors
This I will have a picture of when I get home today. For all special occasions my mom makes chocolate lollipops. I bought the mickey/minnie molds off of ebay and she started making them a few days ago. They came out adorable. Mickey is done in dark chocolate and Minnie is in white chocolate. My mom got fancy and started making the chocolates flavored with things like pink himalayan salt and black sea salt. They taste so yummy.

The only downside to this is the favor tags. My friend that mad eour invites was going to make Mickey head favor tags in our aquamarine color and print our names and the dates on them. Well when I went to pick them up Sunday they were blank. He forgot to print on them. Well, long story short, he can't print on them before cutting them out so he has to make us all new ones and they won't be mickey head shaped It's too close to the time we need them to go through all that again so we're just getting square w/rounded edges on the aquamarine paper with black lettering. Oh well, as long as we have something.


Seems like things just like to go wrong right before we leave. Oh well, at least they can be resolved.

Sorry to hear about the favour tags, but it is good that you are on top of it and can get something done about it - you still have a couple weeks (almost!) left.

Packing for two is an interesting experience at first. I usually pack for DF, he doesn't really care for it, and I am an OCD planner/organizer so I enjoy doing it haha But think of it this way, if you do the packing, you can pick which of his clothes he takes and which he leaves behind

LOL, I don't mind packing for him, it's just so time consuming and he doesn't even help by giving me an idea of what he wants packed. He's just like, "pack whatever" HA! When he's wearing things he doesn't like then he may be more interested in packing himself, lol!

My mom is awesome, she makes her own soaps bc she likes to know what's in everything and especially because she has sensitive skin. I just grabbed a bunch of the ones she's already made and added them to the bags last night. She's going to kill me when she realizes I left her with like 2 bars

So, after all the problems we had getting my mom's dress from Alfred Angelo, it still wasn't going to be in on time. Instead we went to Macy's hoping we'd find something for her.

We found 2!!!!!!!

The first we found was similar to this dress. The only difference is that the one my mom got has a sweetheart neckline. She bought it in a salmon/pink color.

This is the second dress we found. In that color. She bought both because this dress was on sale for $44 when it's regularly $128!

She wasn't sure which she wanted to wear but when we got home she chose the sheath dress. She says that she's lost so much weight that she wants to show it off.

So, the dress dilemma has now been fixed!!!

No, because this was their mistake so they are refunding her entire deposit and the rush fees she paid to get the dress here earlier.
