Can someone please clarify for me how the DP would work if I have 2 reservation numbers with the two numbers connected as a stay through. I had a pin code but it was not available for the 1st night that we will be there, so they did the reservation under two reservations but linked them. We are arriving around dinner on the first night so we would only be eating 1 meal. Would any remaining credits for that first night carryover for the rest of the stay or would they expire at midnight the day we arrive? If they do expire do I have to purchase the DP for that one night or can I only purchase for the 2nd reservation?

If I am understanding your post correctly you have reservations for 2 separate rooms but they are for different days for the same people if you are going to only eat one meal the first day you are there I would just pay out of pocket for that meal and get the dining plan for the remainder of the stay that is as long as that first night is the only day on the first reservation. what plan do you have the quick service the magic your way plus or the deluxe dining plan ??? where are you eating that first night ?? answer those and I might be able to help more also please clarify if that first reservation is for one night only

Since you technically have two reservations, the DDPs will be separate. The credits of that first night would expire at midnight after the check-out of the first reservation.

Since they are separate, you may decide to forgo DDP on the first night and start it on that 2nd day. In most cases, this makes more sense, as to get DDP you will likely need at least a 1-day park ticket for each person on the reservation (unless special cases e.g. AP or DVC), which would pretty much end up being more than you'd save by having DDP for that night.

You could purchase DDP for both stays if you wish - but if you are purchasing MYW packages for both stays you would have to buy park tickets with both reservations. The linking makes no difference - if you have two separate reservation numbers, you have two separate reservations. You may wish to forego the dining plan on the first night if that is the case.

If you do purchase the plan for the first night, those credits will expire at midnight after you check out from that one night stay.
