Not sure if someone posted something already, sorry if they did, but I can't find anything that will assure me about Free Dining next year.

Will hopefully be going with family, but need the Free Dining savings in order to afford it.

Does anyone know if they will keep that offer still?

Thank you in advance:thumbsup2

Absolutely no way to know. Disney probably doesn't even know yet.
We just found out a few weeks ago for Free Dining for 2010...The soonest anyone would have an idea is spring next year. :)

Actually, there is no way of knowing what Disney will do at any time at all. This may not ring true for everyone, but I do believe that many people get so hung up on free dining because that is the promotion they are familiar with bookin, that they don't always look deeper to see that FD may not necessarily be the best saving. Dinsey loves popping surprises and you just have to expect the unexpected. ;)

It's being offered to British customers, but for anyone else there's no way to know yet. There won't be any way to know for sure until around April/May 2010, unless you are one of the lucky ones who receives a PIN code. The dining plan may change for 2011 also.

Prior to free dining Disney traditionally offered resort discounts as high as 45% during the period after Florida kids go back to school and before the food and wine festival.

The rumored reduction of the 2011 increases the chances that free dining will again be the discount being offered during that time period next year.

Deep discounts will if fact, not a rumor, be disapearing.

“We made a decision to reduce the size of the discount. In doing so, we were pretty certain, short-term, that was going to reduce volume,” Disney President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger said.

This is refering to free dining this year being a smaller offer than a year ago.

Also at the annual share holder meeting it was announced that they plan to get rid of widespread discounts.

Why don't you take the time to read my post, in context?:confused3

I'm specifically referring to the time period during which deep discounts have traditionally been offered. The so called hurricane season. Really the slow season between the time FL schools go back in session and the start of the food and wine festival.

The information you quoted is referring to the discounted that has been recently done during peak travel times during which deep discounts haven't traditionally been offered.

I'm assuming the OP is talking about free dining during the period during which deep discounts have been offered.

FL schools are starting to go back to school later. I wouldn't be surprised if 2011 promotions start later, possibly after labor day.
