Figuring out when our dining credits expire

Okay, we will be staying at Pop for 5 nights with 6-day tickets in July. We are getting the QSDP. I know that the number of meals you get depend on the number of nights you are staying rather than the number of days on your ticket. However, we will be checking in around 2:00 on Sunday and going to a park that night, going to the parks Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; checking out on Friday and spending the rest of that day at a park. I know we will only have 5 days worth of dining credits, but S-M-T-W-Th-F is six days - will we be able to spread the use of our credits over those six days? TIA.

Sometimes it's easier to see the credits listed out for your days. Based on your stay you'll have:

1) Sunday Check In Day - Receive credits
2) Monday - Receive credits
3) Tuesday - Receive credits
4) Wednesday - Receive credits
5) Thursday - Receive credits
6) Friday Check Out Day - Since you will not be staying this night you do NOT receive credits, but any "leftover" or banked credits can be used until midnight of this day. When you're making your dining plans you'll have to keep this in mind so you can save some credits to use that Friday (i.e. sharing some meals, etc.) :thumbsup2 Otherwise this day will be OOP.

:goodvibes

A helpful way of thinking about it is that it's just a total number based on the nights (aka a "pool"). You are not restricted as to when you use them within your say (Check-in to midnight of check-out day). If you're up to it, you could use all your credits that Sunday... I wouldn't suggest it, but it is possible within the limits of the plan ;).

So, you'll have a total of 10 CS credits per person to use between Check-in on Sunday and 11:59pm on Friday.

As far as logistically, you may end up paying OOP for a couple meals. Typically 2 "Disney" meals per day is enough. You're also allowed to share amongst yourselves (you're allowed to share with your party as long as they are all on the same dining plan, you are not allowed to share with people not on the plan), this is often done to conserve credits and not eat the huge portions they offer and could also help your credits cover all 6 days. Also, many people use snacks to cover lighter meals, as even the snack portions at some locations are quite sizable. (The bakeries in particular)

The credits expire at midnight on your check-out day.

Specifically, at the midnight following your check-out (as opposed to the midnight at the day's start). I try to add that bit of precision to avoid any possible misunderstandings.

Since you are getting there around 2pm on Sunday, you may have the extra credit from that day to use up on Friday (unless you fit in 2 meals on your arrival day...)
