No, that is incorrect. The dining plan is based on the nights in your reservation.....not the days on your park ticket.

I'm sorry. I know that and you are absolutely correct. I guess it was the days being less than the nights that threw me when I gave the answer. I'm used to going for say 10 nights and 11 days. We are always in the parks more days than nights that we stay.....therefore have less credits than we have days.

So sorry to the original poster.

Yes...if you have 7 NIGHTS booked that you have 3 credits @ 7 nights X 2 people = 42 credits.
