Dreaded CS Dilemma again

Help! I'm stuck in a rut going to the same CS places again and again. I'm vowing to myself that I will change it up. The MK seems to be especially difficult because I always end up at CHH. We had two bad experiences each at Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's. I've never been lucky enough to even try Tomorrowland Noodle Station. Should I just take a stroll over to the Contemporary and try Contempo? What about Casey's, is it worth it and will it hold off hunger to the next meal?

I need some advice. We don't have picky palettes but don't want something that is prepared poorly.

Columbia Harbour House is my favorite CS choice inside the Magic Kingdom! But the CS locations in the monorail resorts are excellent! Contempo Cafe and Captain Cook's are awesome!

We really enjoyed our meal at Pinocchio's Village Haus. It is right beside It's a Small World and across from Peter Pan.

My DH and I chose the Cesear Salad. It was large and was very good. My DD who is a picky eater had the Macaroni and Cheese. She loved it. I forget what my son ate but he liked it as well. Check out the menu. There are chicken entrees too.

There is a reason why you always find yourself choosing Columbia Harbour House. It is easily the best counter service location in the park. The others simply aren't as good.

I have experienced the same dilemma you describe. There aren't that many worthwhile counter service restaurants, so my family winds up eating at the same ones each trip. I don't necessarily think that's a bad situation. I would rather have something familiar and tasty than different and disappointing.

Friar's Nook at the MK had a really good Chicken Parm sandwich when we were there in March...Columbia Harbour House is our favorite place to eat at the MK

I have read that Pinnochio's Village Haus is serving chicken parmesan now... I did read that they are no longer serving those delicious canolis, though...

I also may head into the monorail resorts for my qs meal this time.

Peco Bills did have a chichen dinner added recently that was good, but I don't see it now on the menu. If it's still there, it was pretty good. My girls like the taco salad because they can add all the melted cheese they want from the fixins' bar. I don't care for Casey's personally, but lots of others rave about it.

There is nothing wrong with sticking with what you like. It doesn't count as a rut if you enjoy it.:thumbsup2

I like boating it over to Capt Cooks at the Poly. It's a nice little break, and I like the food. You can even get a Dole Whip for dessert over there.

We like Casey's and since my kids are hot dog fanatics we eat there every year. I have to agree with you about Pecos Bills. We did not enjoy our meal there, and we are not picky, either.

We've done Casey's quite a few times since its pretty quick and easy. The food is mainly hotdogs and corndogs, so nothing spectacular, but also fairly guaranteed to be good. Its a lot of fun to sit outside and listen to the guy who plays the piano- he's fun and rather funny.

If you are bored with the choices at MK then I think taking the monorail is a great idea! Besides Poly and Contempo I would like to throw in a vote for Gasparilla Grill and Games at GF. They cook to order so the food is always fresh. We stop there on our last day and grab our food for the day (inc. plane ride home) using our last CS credits. We really like some of the sandwiches (favorite is the Italian meat) and DD10 loved the Chicken Nuggets (she's 10 now so she got the adult version). They also have soft serve ice cream as a dessert choice.

I think GG&G is a hidden CS choice. You could take the boat over instead of the monorail for a added treat.:goodvibes

CS at GF has full size pizzas which are good and if you are on DDP they are only 2 credits. WL is also a good pick if you want a bit of an experiance.
