Another question about Y&Y...

Which floor is better? In terms of decoration, noise, etc. so that I have an idea when we go and can possibly request area of seating.

I remember reading somewhere that people often prefer one floor to the other, but I cannot recall which! Top or bottom? Thanks!

We got a wonderful corner seat facing the walkway to Dinoland (I think) on the second floor.

It was fab-u-lous, but definately hit the ladies room before you go upstairs, if you are going to be there a while like we were....

Why before we go upstairs?

The restrooms are on the bottom floor.

We had a second floor table and it was lovely. The front of the downstairs are is open if I remember correctly, and the back is where the restrooms are. The food was good. It was our first family meal at WDW - in June 2008. I think it was a relatively new restaurant then.

Umm can't we go downstairs mid-meal to use the ladies room even if we are seated upstairs?

I am very excited for our Y&Y meal - glad I got an ADR for it! Still trying to get a better time but the time I managed to get is not too bad.

LOL, yes you can use the restrooms even when you're seated upstairs. You just have to get to them. There are stairs and an elevator.

I prefer being seated upstairs. It's a little less busy since not as many people are coming through.
I ask for the window seats....fun to people watch!

I love the upstairs section for the view. We had a window seat looking out into the Asia section of the park, and it was lovely.

We had a late lunch/early dinner ADR there at 3:15 and sat upstairs at a window and we were able to watch the Jammin Jingle Parade from our seats. That was pleasant.

We also really enjoyed the food though my husband had trouble with the name and thinks the marketing deparment might have done well to say the name out loud a few times. He found the idea of a Yakkiin' Yeti someone unappetizing.

We sat upstairs right by the windows in the corner, it was a great location. Nice a quiet but the bathrooms are downstairs and DD5 always has to go in the middle of a meal even though we get her to go before we sit down. Needless to say I prefer to sit as close to the bathroom as possible then my meal has less time to get cold :lmao:
