Share an autograph book?

I have 4 kiddos (12,10,4,and 7 months). Of course the baby won't care, but as far as the other 3 kids go, can they share an autograph book? I just thought keeping up with and carrying around 3 autograph books and 3 pens might be a hassle. Do you guys with multiple kids take only 1 autograph book? Opinions welcomed! :confused3

Just saw your question and thought i would add my two cents.

It really depends on what you are going to do with the autographs and how independent your children are. If you plan on taking the autographs out of the book and putting them in a photo album or scrapbook with the pictures of you child and the character (separately) there is no problem with one book just get three signatures from the characters and make sure he doesn't do them back to back.
It you are just keeping it as an autograph book or are planning to get one of those books that you can place the picture right on the facing page... get separate books because as children grow up they feel like it is a part of their childhood memories and will each want a book.

Just some suggestions...

Thanks so much! I think I might get all 4 one!

My boys have always just shared an autograph book and got one autograph from the character at a time. It seemed like much less of a hassle that way, and they never seemed to mind.

I put the autographs into our Disney scrapbooks (still in progress, years later).

My kids have shared one the past two years and will again this year. They rake turns handing it to the characters. We use spiral bound, perforated index cards and have the characters sign the blank sides. Then when we get home I remove the autograph pages from the binding and scrapbook them along with pictures of the kids with the characters. The kids live looking through the small scrapbooks.

If you think they will all prefer their own book, the 10 and 12 year old should be able to carry their own. I know that carrying 3 yourself can add unnecessary weight and bulk to your backpack, but if the older kids take care of their own, you could just keep the one for the four year old.

For a family book, bweagle's idea is great though! :thumbsup2

This issue was on a previous thread too, and a suggestion was to use pillowcases!

I also say I'm gonna scrapbook, but I never have time, so the autograph book is under the bed with the photoalbum...
With a pillowcase, we can see the memories everyday!

Like I said, this was not my idea, but I thought I'd add in my little idea :goodvibes

In the past my kids have each had their own. I have noticed on the last 2 trips that the character running CM's are making the kids take pictures together with the characters instead of individual. Since they end up with the same picture for this trip we are going to just get one for the 3 kids (5,8, & 9) to share. My kids have done it enough that they aren't upset about it though.

I would talk to your kids and see what they think. Plan it out with them to avoid the fights and be prepared for taking group pictures, not individual ones.
