Specific Photopass Question

I'm going to WDW with my mom and daughter this summer. It's a special trip for us. Although we will be in Orlando for 12 days, only 4 of those days are at parks. On two other days however, we will be going to two Disney resort activities-Hoop Dee Doo Review and tea at the Grand Floridan (just reservations, not the tea party event).

I am nervous spending $99 on photopass if we don't get many pictures. Although it is my daughter's first time, we will be back again in March with my husband and most likely many more trips after that.

If I preorder the cd and we don't care for the pictures, can I use that previously purchased pre-order for our trip in March?

Do you find it's worth it to purchase photopass for four days?

Will there be pictures on the cd from the other two activities I mentioned?

Yes. You can also get a refund.

Your call, not mine and you probably won't know until you try. But you'll probably find pre-ordering is more of an incentive to actually have photos taken than just doing it out of sheer free will. Personally, I have no problem getting upwards of 80 PhotoPass photos a day, not all being keepers.

Will there be pictures on the cd from the other two activities I mentioned?

HDDR offers a photo package that you must purchase separately. Then you can add it to PhotoPass. GF might have PhotoPass photogs in the lobby.

Do you find it's worth it to purchase photopass for four days?

I can't tell you if it is worth it for you but I can tell you that my DW and I managed to get about 100 photos taken in 4.5 days this past summer. While we went out of our way for the photos a few times (and had about 15 taken by the photopass photographer at AKL) the majority of the time we weren't looking to get photos taken. We just stumbled on them and had photos taken.

If you are there for a special trip and you want photos Photopass is a great way to get them!

Only you can decide if it's worth it but I'll share our experience. I heard about it last year before our trip and debated. We prepaid and figured worse comes to worse we could get a refund. Once at WDW we took FULL advantage of the photopass. We had family shots we normally could not have gotten without passing off my camera to a stranger who is in a hurry to get somewhere. We have them take 2 or 3 poses, then just my son while I snap away at him too with my camera. We got great shots in the wave pools and lazy rivers. I liked being able to put the borders and effects. For us it was worth it and we will definately be getting it again this trip.

If you do pay for it, remember to grab every photo op with a PhotoPass photographer that you can!
