I bought my very first pair of Crocs flip-flops yesterday and they seem so comfortable. I have flat, narrow feet and have always had a hard time finding shoes other than athletic shoes that I can wear long periods of time. My question is I'm wondering if any of you have flat feet, or foot issues, and have been able to wear these in the parks all day?? Also, out of all of the styles I have seen online so far, the Capris seem to be the ones with the most cushion- do any of you know if that's the case? Thanks in advance.

I have the Capri style, which I love, however I wore then to AK last year (our first park day) and ended up with really bad blisters on my upper feet and toes! I was glad I also had my sneakers and moleskin, which saved the trip.

Some swear by Crocs at the parks. Me.........not so much.

I wore my Croc Capris and Athens to Disney three times last year and love them. They have a lot of support (I have big flat feet) and are cushioned enough to just be comfortable all day. When we go to WDW we walk a LOT. We start at early and really go the whole day. These are the only flip flops I've worn that can keep up with that pace and remain as comfy as sneakers. I think the Athens and Capris are about the same from a cushion point of view. Good luck!!!

I have the captiva style and LOVE THEM! They are now the only flip flop I will wear and I wore them for 8 days straight last summer in Disney....so comfy!

I have several pairs of the capri style crocs and I've worn them the last three years at Disney. Never had a blister or any other type of foot problem wearing them. I LOVE them!

I just purchased the Crocs ABF (almost barefoot) flip flops to wear on my upcoming trip. I have worn the Athens style the past two trips with great success - no foot problems, no achy legs - just great!! Loved them! Unfortunately, the tread on my Athens has worn off and they are no longer making them, otherwise I would have kept on buying them! I'm trying out the ABF style, and so far they seem great, too. I'm hoping they work out just as well as the Athens did. I can let you know soon. My trip is fast approaching! Yay!

I have the Athens and while I've never worn them to Disney, I like them and they've never caused a problem on my feet.

However, if I wear them for a long period of time, I notice they're hard on my knees. It's not always your feet that suffers from the wrong shoes....

I have Crocs Athens & Ithaca. All I wear at Disney are the Athens. They are so comfy.

I too have worn my Athens to WDW with no problems. I fact, the first time I wore them was because of blisters I had developed from my tennis shoes the day before. I am so sad that they discontinued the style. Apparently one of their new styles is supposed to be a replacement for the Athens, but I can't figure out which one it is.

I also noticed today that they added a few colors of Athens back on their web site. They were not there last week. Hopefully this means that Crocs has realized the mistake it made and is bringing back the Athens!

I wore croc athens to the parks for three straight weeks and no foot problems! They were so comfortable. I love my athens and have two pairs that I'll be taking on our next trip. My son also only wears athens aside from school shoes, they are his favourite shoe. I've bought him other flip flops and he has always said they are not as comfortable and gone back to the athens.

I was devastated to be told that they were no longer going to be making them. I think it's a mistake, why on earth would they remove such a popular shoe, I know they have many other designs but I've tried a few on and they are just don't feel like they are as supportive as the athens and my foot is pretty wide so are not as comfortable :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I will miss my athens when my currents pairs are worn out. Hopefully they will return :sad1:

I bought a pair of Crocs a couple of years ago and since then I always wear them at the parks. I find them very comfortable.

As the tread is almost gone, I was looking at a new pair at a shoe store but I found the sole to be much harder and less "cushion-y" than my present pair. Maybe they changed the design?

Unfortunately, I don't know which model I have, looking at the website, it's either the Beach or Classic (formerly Cayman). They look identical, any idea what the difference is between those 2?

I agree that the Athens is more comfortable than other Croc flip-flops. I have tried a few other styles and returned them. Maybe Croc has received a lot of complaints because they are now selling the Athens in a few limited colors on their web site. Hopefully they'll bring in more colors.

Do you know if the Athens run wide? I have pretty narrow feet, so that would be a concern of mine. But I have heard good things about that style of flip-flop.

I think the response to this might vary depending on whether you are a man or a woman. Women seem capable of putting up with an excruciating amount of pain/tolerance with a pair of shoes that looks good, while a guy will wear the junkiest pair of boat shoes every day just because they feel better than his other shoes.

That said, my wife loves to wear her pink minnie crocs all day, every day in the parks. I can endure my Mickey crocs every other day (I wear them because my 6 year old and 2 year old like us all to match), but I need my sneakers on the other days to recover. The crocs are fun, but I prefer the thick cushioning of my sneakers plus the comfortability of socks.

My wife and I have a long running "form over function" vs. "function over form" debate going, so I don't expect either of our opinions to change. I consider every other day to be a pretty big compromise on my part anyway.

I have an average width foot and they fit me fine. You probably just need to try on a pair and see how they fit.

I just wanted everyone to know that this thread specifically inspired me to order a pair of Crocs capri suede sandals from Zappos. I am officially in love with them, and have been wearing them almost everyday even though I bought them with our upcoming WDW trip in mind. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and, after trying other styles on in stores, went with a 9 because they felt better on my wide, arched feet. Thanks for the advice and opinions. I never thought I would be a Crocs owner, but look at me now! :yay:

Yay!!! another Croc convert!! ....... but..... now I want to try the Sketcher Tone Up flip flops for comparison. I love the Sketcher Shape Ups but I know they are (1) too hot on the feet for Disney in the summer and (2) can't get 'em wet on all those raft rides!

Sometimes when I've worn my crocs flip-flops for several hours of walking, the bottoms of my feet will start to burn, I think it's maybe from the foot to rubber contact. Maybe it's just me!! Alos, my calves end up hurting from trying to walk fast w/o the crocs flying off my feet. Could be that I'm flip-flop challenged...
