Best Donald Duck Character Breakfast Question

Okay, so my DH is not the greatest Disney fan. We went last year with friends and took our camper and stayed at Fort Wilderness. I told him he could just stay there all day if he was going to ruin my vacation. Off we go to MK and he seems to be doing okay. At least he wasn't complaining. As we passed Cindy's castle late in the day, they were doing a show out front with Mickey and Donald dressed as pirates and for some reason my DH just became a kid again and loves the Don. The rest of the trip was great. He even bought us flashing Mickey ears for MVMCP. So now, we are planning another trip back to the World and I want to take him to a character breakfast that has Donald Duck. Which breakfast would you recommend and why?

at Chef Mickey's and Tusker House. At CM he visits the tables. At Tusker House lately, I understand, he is the greeter.

My preference is for Tusker House.

Donald also usually appears at the Mexico pavilion in Epcot.

Well, how about Donald's Safari Breakfast at the AK? Best character breakfast food IMO. I love the variety. My family schedules the latest sitting at 10:30 am and uses it as a brunch. They offer carved ham, quiche, oh and Krispy Kreme donuts!

Donald can also be found at Chef Mickey's and Cape May Cafe.

Be sure to look for Donald in the Mexican Pavilion in Epcot. You can't miss him in the large sombrero! Your DH will enjoy that! He's usually very playful.

At Chef Mickey's, Donald Duck is found at dinner time in the waiting area - having a grat time teasing adults and children, plus pictures and autographs. We have not seen him at breakfast at CM.

I would do the Donald Safari breakfast in AK. Get an early before parking opening ADR - you will have the freshes buffet, less young small children, and great photo's of an empty AK park.

I was under the impression that at Tusker House, Donald just meets out front and doesn't circulate anymore.

I vote for Cape May.

We loved Donald's Safari Breakfast. Even if he doesn't circulate, we loved the food and you would still get to see him.

We enjoy Cape May, Tusker House & Chef Mickey's all very much. Donald does just appear as a greeter @ Tusker House, but the breakfast is very good. Cape May is a bit slower paced than CM, and there is a nice lox station at Cape May.

I would do Cape May if it was me.

It's a slower-paced interaction (more character time) than Chef Mickey's, and they have great food. Donald has time to respond to things like 'hey Donald, this is your biggest fan!' or 'He thinks you're much cooler than Mickey!' - and he will. Donald just loves to hear how you like him more than Mickey, or he's your favorite, or you think he is underexposed/underappreciated, or things like that.

Tusker House, Donald is just the greeter, and it can be a bit rushed... stand here, smile!, *snap*, bye-bye.. next! The food here is good too, but if Donald is the main focus for why you are looking for the meal, I wouldn't pick this one.

Agreed! I love Tusker House. It's easily my favorite character meal. Like others have said, Donald is the greeter. He does not circulate. But you will have the ability to purchase a professional photo with your husband's favorite duck and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

We have not seen him at breakfast at CM.

He's always been at breakfast when we have been there. Unless it has changed fairly recently.

He is at Donald's Breakfast Safari in AK, Cape May Cafe at the BC, and at Chef Mickey's at CR. We prefer either Tusker house (Donald's Breakfast Safari) or Cape May Cafe. Both have really great food and awesome character interaction....however, like a PP had already mentioned, at Donald's Breakfast Safari he is no longer going around the tables which is a bummer because when we were there a year ago, he was going around the tables and he was so funny and cute, but that is not going to stop us from going there in September ....have a magical trip.

I do not remember lox at Cape May, and it's my husband's favorite food and we were seated right next to the buffet, so I have to assume it wasn't there or we'd have seen it.
