What happens if you can't make it?

of course I fully intend to be at all my ADRs, but who knows what can happen. What happens if you just get stuck?

This is a good question!! I'm curious to know. We have never missed a reservation...knock on wood!! I did have to leave my credit card number for California Grill.....I think:confused:....the IPO made the ressie. Would they charge my card if we didn't show up?

If you have left a credit card and don't give 24 hour notice they will charge your credit card.

If it is a non credit card reservation they will still seat you late. If you don't think you are going to make it, give them a call. There might be someone walking up that would love your seat!

Thank you thats what I was curious about. If at any point I know I won't be able to make it can I just go to any guest relations and tell them? There is no time limit to cancel?
Of course I plan I be there....I just wanted to cover all bases, lol.
And thats good to know that they will seat you late so if you get stuck by just 20 minutes or something I should still go.

If you arrive late, you'll probably have to wait a bit longer, but you will get seated.

If you don't show up within about 45 min, they consider you a "no show" and take walk ups in those spots.

We made 14 ADRs for our trip a few weeks ago. After the first night, we knew we weren't going to make ANY of the rest of them, and I told the concierge CM this, and asked if we needed to cancel them. She said "no, don't worry about it...if you don't show, you don't show. They'll seat another party that is waiting in your place." She actually urged us to keep the ADRs, in case we DID need them (we never did, but we did walk up to 3 other TS restaurants with no waiting=---over Easter week...)

It depends on the restaurant and how busy they are as to how long they will wait. At Chef Mickey's, probably the busiest restaurant on property, I had a CM and a supervisor tell me that they wait hours for people to arrive. We were a few minutes late, due to a monorail issue, and so having eaten at pretty much everywhere, and not asked this question, I asked her, and this is what they told me. They said their computer system groups the ressies, so they know exactly how many latecomers they are waiting on and such. It was an interesting discussion.

I also asked at several other TS places, non-character, and I found it depended upon how busy they were in terms of how long to wait and for taking walk-ups.

HTH, Tiger :)
