If we watch the MK opening ceremony, can we make a 9:05 res?

We have a reservation at Crystal Palace for 9:05 in the morning. The park opens at 9 am. We would like to watch the little opening ceremony, but I'm not sure exactly when it begins or how long it lasts. Think we can make it????

I think it starts fifteen minutes before the park opens - I know when we've been there for the ceremony and they drop the rope, you just run into another rope (say at Fantasy Land, or Tomorrowland) that you have to wait at for about five minutes until the park "officially" opens. I don't believe there's a rope near the Crystal Palace so you should be able to get there fine.

Yes, you should be able to make it in time, plus they give you 15 minutes after your ADR to get there. I have actually shown up an hour late for an ADR (forgot I changed the time) and they still sat me at the next available table. :thumbsup2

oh thank you! We really wanted to be able to see the show, but I was worried that it began right at 9 am!

I was wondering the same thing, I have a reservation at CP I think at either 9:05 or 9:10 and I was hoping I could see some of the rope drop ceremony thing!

Good to know you can get to an ADR 15 minutes late...I think we were 5 minutes late to our reservation at Mama Melrose's last November and we thought they were going to tell us to leave! :rotfl:

What time does the MK open. I have ADR for CP for 8:05am in July. we are gonna eat and then head over to Bush Gardens for a roller coaster filled day

Typically 9 am (it opens earlier on some days for guests of Disney resorts.) Keep in mind that if you have reservations at the Crystal Palace, you will need to use your park ticket to enter. Since you're headed to Busch Gardens afterwards, that may well mean that you use a day of your Disney ticket only to have breakfast.

Last trip I blew a day's admission (on a 10 day ticket) on my arrival night. One of my favorite rides was shutting down that night for a lengthy refurb, and we also had dinner in the park. However, that wouldn't be worth it to everyone.
