Going to Atlanta with my son for a chess tournament and also taking my DH and DD.
I am hoping someone may have some extra entertainment book coupons for the aquarium or the Coke plant? If they have any in there.
DD and DH will be very bored if they have to stay with us for three days straight!!
I am happy to trade any from my Tampa book!
Every penny counts!

I don't have an Entertainment book this year, but know of a few websites that have deals:

http://www.atlantaonthecheap.com/ - Daily posts about deals around town
groupon.com - one coupon a day for purchase, frequently restaurants
Half Off Depot - a bunch of coupons, with a lot of restaurants

Good luck!

FYI - It's the World of Coca-Cola, not a Coca-Cola plant. They have a very small production facility in the museum, but it's pretty much just for show. It's basically a really expensive ad for Coke. I've been once, and I probably won't go again.

There isn't anything in the book except a coupon for some overnight thing at the aquarium. Thought I would save you looking all over.

There are some city pass deals and I think there is a discount if you go to the coke plant and the aquarium in the same day.

when we went to Atlanta last summer we got a citypass. It gave admisson to the zpp, the aquarium, the cnn tour, the coca cola tour and a couple of museums. It was well worth more than those separate attractions cost. we especially liked seeing the pandas at the zoo. It is probably the only time we will ever get to see real pandas. go to citypass.com.

I like the idea of Coke, the zoo and the aquarium. I just don't think they will have time for much more. Anyone have an idea where to get a pass for just those three?

The aquarium and the zoo are definite don't miss attractions in Atlanta. World of Coke really depends on who you talk to... Honestly, I haven't been since they moved to the new location.

Since you're already going to be very close (while at the Aquarium and World of Coke), you may want to eat at The Varsity. You CAN'T go to Atlanta without eating at The Varsity! If you have the time, you might also be interested in Stone Mountain.

If you belong to your local zoo, check and see if they have an agreement with Zoo Atlanta. Our local zoo membership entitled us to half price admission to Zoo Atlanta.

If you check the Aquarium and World Of Coke websites, they offer a discounted pass called Pemberton Pass that is for both. We loved both places and the New World of Coke is a must do, much better than the original. Since the 2 are right there together, it is a no brainer. The Aquarium has a food bar/court. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Varsity, we weren't that impressed

I do understand that the Zoo is really nice, but I haven't been since I was a small child (that was a long time ago).

You can usually get some hotel packages that include tickets to these attractions as little extra cost, just check the Aquarium and World of Coke websites.

The World of Coke isn't much. There's a whole bunch of nick-nacks from when Coke first came out. At the end you get to sample Coke's from around the world. It's the same type of thing they have in Epcot near Test Track. My kids were bored! I thought it was ok.

You can get that city pass online at www.citypass.com/Atlanta/

If you have any little girls, you might want to visit the American Girl store in Alpharetta. They have the American Girl Bistro there and you can eat with your doll. She can also get her ears pierced and her hair styled there. :cutie:

Check AAA if you are a member for discounts to some of the touristy things in Atlanta.

It's been nearly 20 years since we've lived in Atlanta :scared1:. I seem to recall a trip to the Cyclorama -- is it still there? If your family's into the Civil War, it's a great painting.

We just spent the weekend in Atlanta. We bought the City Pass and went to Fernbank Museum of Natural History, which was very cool. We also did the Aquarium, Zoo and World of Coca-Cola. We enjoyed it all, but the aquarium was very crowded. To go to the World of Coke, you need to get there early - when we left the aquarium around 1:00, there was a crowd of people waiting to get in.

I think we liked the Zoo the best.

Another choice - if your husband and son are baseball fans, have them take the Turner Field tour. My husband and I did it before we had kids and really enjoyed it.

It's going to be hubby and daughter. My son will be playing chess all three days.

She is already saving up for American Girl!

The American Girl Place is wonderful and I am a 36 year old woman with no children, especially if they have time to have lunch at the cafe. There is also a Disney Store in that mall :rolleyes1
