Selling Old Cell Phones??

I sent mine to cell4cash.com maybe 2 weeks ago. It said 45 days to receive a check so I will let you know...kinda a long time but they had the best price.

We give ours to a women's shelter. Are they really worth that much?

Those that are not resellable, cell4cash donates to these types of programs, and they pay the shipping so there's no cost to you.

I happened to have an expensive phone to sell, if all goes as it should, they will give me $140 for it.

Just make sure you do a factory reset on the phone first! Don't want to send a stranger all your private phone numbers, contact, call history, text messages, photos, emails, etc. Not sure how? Just do a Google search on how to reset your particular model. :thumbsup2

I will sell our old phones at contract renewal time via eBay.
The last phones I sold were 2 Motorola V3 Razr's with accessories: case, chargers and random additional accessories accumulated over their history with me.
Clear your phone
List as used with any visible imperfections noted
Pack in original box if you have it
Take and post multiple pictures

My 2 phones were advertised together as 'his n' hers' and sold in excess of $100. I always start them at 9.99

Good Luck!

I have sold mine through Gazelle and done really well, they send you a prepaid box and will either send you a check or a prepaid walmart card.

Unless you have a high-end smartphone, you're not going to get anything for your old equipment (especially, when you can buy handsets at places like Walmart and Target for around 20 bucks).

As for donating old phones, whilke the intention is noble, know "who" you are giving-away your stuff to.

If you have a GSM phone (AT&T or T-Mobile), simply remove the SIM card before you pass it on. If you have a CDMA handset (Verizon or Sprint), it's a lot tricker to wipe it clean -- I know for a fact that Verizon company stores have donation bins (and they will take care of removing everything) and they have a solid track record of donating used equipment to women's shelters, military, etc.

Did cell4cash.com send you a check...I have been waiting to hear if this site works.
Thanks!

Sorry...I would say, don't go with them. I've emailed them several times, and finally got a confirmation the beginning of this week or so that supposedly my check has been mailed. I suggest NOT using them.

We just sold our iPhone 3Gs to Gazelle - you don't get as much $$ as eBay or Craigslist but it's so much simpler. We got about $215 for our 2 phones - I had been offered as much as $300 for both - right before the iPhone 4s came out, but the prices started dropping right after that.
