Has anyone seen this bottle available for purchase in a store recently?
http://www.coolgearinc.com/020bottle.html

They are selling for $2.99 on the website, but shipping is $9, so I would rather purchase locally if I can. Last year I bought 2 of them at Walmart for $1.50 a piece. I haven't seen them in any Walmarts this year.

If not, can you recommend a different inexpensive plastic water bottle with the freeze stick? Size doesn't matter really. These just worked amazing last year and I wanted to pick up a few more like it.

I haven't looked but I'm pretty sure my WM is still carrying these. Check Target and your local supermarkets as well.

What happened to the ones you had?

My walmart used to carry them for $1 or 2. They are not all that great to be honest. They don't hold up well and the plastic is cheap and makes them taste funny. Since you actually liked them maybe wait another week or so to see if your walmart puts the summer stuff out?

The inserts last awhile but don't work well to keep the drink cold for long IME.

The ones I bought last year still work fine. I just wanted to pick up 2 more so I would have extras if something happened to them during this trip. They worked really well for us, especially since we paid so little for them. The ice sticks really help in my opinion.

I'll keep checking Walmart closer to our trip.

Too funny..my parents and I were just discussing these for my Mom to take on next trip..she just had oral surgery and can't use a straw yet...your post made me remember I got a ton of these from Wally so my Mom doesn't have to buy them this trip..WOOHOO!

If you wash them well before use they will be fine...I never really noticed a funny taste with ours...

But now we carry Trudeau Cool Down Cups with permanent straws...

My Local ShopRite usually has these, have you looked in the supermarket?

I was looking at stainless steel bottles at Costco, I think I may try them.

It shouldn't taste funny if it's BPA free. I'm a snob though...I only like Camelback water bottles. The ones with the insulated layer keep water cold for hours. If there's ice it, it stays cold even longer. I can ride on a sunny day for 20 miles and still have ice when my water is out.

You can get them at just about any sporting good store, but they're about $9 and up. It's worth it to me though! :thumbsup2

Its bpa free though I'm not keen on the gel inside but thats just me

I saw some at Target with the Rubbermaid containers too. Target will have them in their summer line which should be out soon. DD needed one for her DC trip so we've been looking. She didn't like the freezer thing and since they can't freeze it anyway we got one of the $10 metal ones!

We got two last summer at Target....I'm sure they will be out soon. I would wait a couple of weeks before you spend 9 on shipping

We used to have these but now prefer the Polar Insulated water bottles...they work so much better! We got ours on amazon and got a different color for each member of our family...we've had them 2 years and they are still going strong! We use them all year round..for on the go and at sports events. My 2 y.o. loves his and calls it his "bot".
