All of these are CD's that I have purchased from WDW Orlando FL

Magic in the Streets - Parade Memories
Wishes
SpectroMagic
Fantasmic
Where the Magic Lives
Cinderelabration
Illuminations EPCOT - Tapestry of Dreams

My favorite is Disney's Music From The Park (1996)

Yes, it's covers by famous people but you just can't beat Tim Curry singing Ballad of Davy Crockett and Bare Naked Ladies rendition of Grim Grinning Ghosts.

One of my favorites is Eric Kunzel with the Cincinnati Pops doing Disney music. There are two volumes, one has the WDW castle on the cover (I think it's called "A Disney Spectacular"), the other was released several years later with more current Disney music like Beauty & The Beast. The label is Telarc which is noted for high quality recordings.

I usually prefer authentic Disney park music and original soundtracks, but these two--especially the first one-- are really good.:earsboy:

I love the authentic Park music as well but a friend bought me Manheim Meets the Mouse and I love it! Good background music ...

PirateRose, I so agree with you on that CD. I was just listening to it on the way to work last week. BNL version of Haunted Mansion is the best cover of Disney theme park music ever and Tim Curry's Davy Crockett is probably my second favorite. My mom has an old VHS tape "Simply Mad About the Mouse" that's also a great cover complilation. The Disneyland 50th anniversary 6CD set is hours and hours of great music. Listening to the music from "America the Beautiful" brought back memories of most of the movie that I didn't even know I remembered. It's also got the holiday music from Country Bears, HM and IASW.

My all time movie soundtrack is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame ", this is one outstanding recording

Thanks for posting those suggestions. I normally just listen to the film soundtracks - I love The Little Mermaid soundtrack...takes me back!

I agree with many of the recent posts, especially the Disneyland box set, which is a must-have for park music fans. Any Disney World compilations with the old EPCOT music are great finds too.

A recent CD that I picked up and recommend is Los Lobos Does Disney. They do a mix of songs from both films and the parks. There are a few odd choices, but they do stunning versions of Grim Grinning Ghosts, Heigh Ho, and a combo of When You Wish Upon a Star and It's a Small World. Good stuff.

We love Disney cd's. My favorite would have to be our Epcot cd. We have about 20 Disney cd's so I'm always looking for new ones. The last one we bought was the Sherman Brothers songbook cd.
