I am trying a few new places for our new trip. When I was a kid we went to a Japanese restaurant and I know its fun that they cook in front of you

I assume Tepan cooks in front of you ?
Do most kids tend to enjoy whatever Tepan does?

Most in my group are picky eaters including myself. If we order the chicken or steak..no sushi/fish stuff, will we still get a good show?

I assume this on the DDP as one TS..correct?

Sometimes I find, there isnt much food..or an hour later you are hungry after eating Asian food..are the portions decent here?

thanks

yes, they cook in front of you and you will get a show no matter what you order.

I usually order steak; besides unless your family can fill all the seats, you will be seated with other people around the hibachi.

Last year it was one TS and I dont think it has changed.

The portions were fine, we were not hungry later.

I think its a good choice for a family

We went to Teppan Edo last year and the girls in our group (6 and 8) loved it. They each had shrimp, rice and noodles and veggies (although they didn't eat the vegetables). The chocolate ice cream for dessert was REALLY good.

I don't like fish or sushi, and I had the steak/chicken combo which was really tasty. Good portions and you could get refills on the white rice if you liked.

Teppan Edo is the one place my DD REALLY wants to go to this year. She is what I would consider a fairly picky eater and she loved the food. She has also talked quite a bit about the presentation and cooking the food right there. She thought it was great.

thanks

I LOVE white rice..one of my favorite foods!!

I went ahead and booked a ressie. weill give it a try

We go to Benihana's in the area and DS my picky eater loves it. He gets chicken adn steak and eats it all. He doesn't eat the soup or salad. He likes the fried rice. He just enjoys that they cook it in front of you and sees what they put on it.

And the show. They found it so exciting!

we always get our daughter plain noodles which they do put on the grill but with a little bit of butter and I think we got orders of them and it was like five dollars...that is what I would suggest:rotfl2:

We love this restaurant - the food is great quality and the show is always fun. The only complaint I have is that children on the DDP don't get ice cream. They get a pre-packed cookie. Tell me that makes sense when at most other restaurants, that's their main desert choice :confused3. I think its mean to not offer a child ice cream on the DISNEY DP. Anyway, we usually give our youngest our ice cream so it works out. You could also purchase the ice cream if you choose to.

actually this idea has a lot of potential..not sure if we will like their noodles that have sauce..forget what they call it. I know at Chinese restaurants we dont tend to like their noodles that are like thick spagetti but we do like their ones that are real skinny like oodles of noodles style

my suggestion is go and try and experience something as authentic as well, can be, at Disney. then again when I travel other places like Europe, etc I am the one wandering the side streets and alley's for the 'real' country not the tourist stops so I may be unique in these thoughts :goodvibes:goodvibes
