Hello and welcome to my pre-trip report. My name is Elizabeth and I am a disney-holic (of course you are too because you are reading this :lmao:). I have LOTS planned for this trip for me (currently 39 but will be 40 by the then) and DH (40). Before we started planning this trip, I had to make sure the dogs in my avatar would be taken care of (Abbie on left, Zoe on right). Now that I know they are, I started planning and will be making ADRs next Tuesday.

OK, so we will be staying at a Deluxe resort for the first time.:cool1:We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and we check in September 19 and will be headed home October 1.

How exciting! My friends are staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas for their first trip to WDW in May. They love the looks of the resort and I can't wait to see pics from your trip in September. Before you know it, you will be leaving!

Thanks so much and welcome:flower3:

I warn you that this is a very busy game plan and lots of ADRs (thanks to the Deluxe Dining Plan).

Day 1- Sept 19 Land at noon, pick up rental car, quick stop at Target, check in drop off luggage, head to Epcot for late lunch (probably Tangerine Cafe), back to hotel to swim or shower or nap, dinner at Narcoosees, MK EMH

Day 2- Sept 20 AK EMH in the morning, breakfast at Tusker House (first time for breakfast there), Yak and Yeti for lunch (LOVE the lettuce cups..think I will try the ribs this time), afternoon break (which means nap, swim, and shower), dinner at Yachtsmans (first time ever), DHS EMH pm

Day 3- Sept 21 Cape May for breakfast, Epcot EMH, Tokoyo Dining for lunch, LONG afternoon break, dinner at Ohanas and MNSSHP (LOVE the headless horseman)

Getting tired just reading this:rotfl: That is why there are afternoon breaks

Day 8- Sept 26 Ohana for breakfast, Universal Studios for the day, dinner at Citywalk (have no idea where) and off to see Blue Man Group (first time).

Day 9- Sept 27 (Anniversary day:love::hug:) breakfast at WC, Backstage Magic tour (I think that is what it is called..never done it but it sounds great), dinner at Flying Fish (hope our fav servers are there..Jay and Ruggerio are awesome and that steak is to die for..glad I tried the snapper before the steak or I never would have tried it), DHS that night

Day 13- :sad1:Pack up, HoB for early lunch and headed home (but will be happy to see the dogs)

Wow, that looks like a great trip! I've not been for more than 6 days at a time - so jealous! Plus, I like the dining plan, but we've never done the DxDP. :thumbsup2 Nice!

I am going to move you to the "Pre-trip report" section, however. Once your trip actually arrives, we can either move you back, start a new thread, whatever... ;)

Can't wait to hear more!

Sounds like a lot of fun!!!! I love Islands of adventure. I'm going to have to check out the websites of some of the restuarants you planned to eat at. Sounds delicious!!!

Thanks so much..we love Islands too. Nice to have some realy big thrill rides and can`t wait to see Harry Potter. Yes, check out the menus and scope out the restaurants. If you have any questions about ones we have been to, I would be happy to answer them for you.

I amke my ADRs tomorrow morning bright and early. I LOVE the online system and last time, I got everything I wanted with no more than a 15 min variation of time..fingers crossed I am that lucky tomorrow. I am nervous about it this time for some reason.

I made the ADRs and I got all of them!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:The biggest variation in time was an hour for FF, but that's OK. I am so excited!!

So..we now have airplane tickets, Seaworld/Aquatica/Bush Garden tickets, two tours booked..Oh and we decided to go to DL in August for my 40th b'day:cool1: This will be our first trip there..I am learning that it is very different than WDW, but we are really looking forward to it.

Next on my list, MNSSHP tickets (I hear they go on sale in two weeks), reserving rental car, Universal/Islands tickets.

Islands/Universal Tickets now in hand

I just found out that September hours are changing, so we may not get to see Spectro this time..I have planned on going the first Wednesday or Saturday, but they are now MNSSHP dates. Thought about trying to switch around my Illumination date with a date they will be showing Spectro..the only problem with that is I have a 7:00 ADR for Le Cellier and there is no way we can eat and get to MK and get a spot for 8:00.

I will just have to hope that there are additional Spectro dates due to the MNSSHP changes.

Just found your thread. I've never stayed at anywhere but value resorts, I'm interested to hear what the Deluxe resort is like!

OK..so now I know exactly when the MNSSHP will be when we are there (that switched around a little) and we have tickets for the Sept 21 party ( I so love that party..everything, but especially the parade). I am also thinking that HHN will be offered the Friday and Saturday nights we are there, so flipped that plan (and the ADRs) and will now be able to see Spectro. :cool1: Or maybe the Main St Parade will still be going on then? Who knows..we will know more as we get closer.

OH..and I upgraded my camera and I am so looking forward to trying it out in one of my favorite places ever. I went from a Nikon D60 to a Nikon D90 and I got a 400 series external flash too. This was supposed to be a b'day present (my b'day is in August), but there was an AMAZING package deal that we couldn't pass up. And also DH thought it might be nice for me to have some time to adjust to the new camera.

I am buying the Blue Man Group tickets this week. My vacation package has to be paid off by the end of July (which means my trip will be here very soon). We will be taking our first trip to Disneyland in August (just a 4 day trip) and we are SO looking forward to it.

Thanks for reading.:wizard:

Hi, I'm in..... popcorn:: This sounds like fun. I love all of your plans. One of our favorite places to eat is Kouzzina and I see it is on your list. Yum!

We will ending our stay at WL a couple of days after you check in.

Thanks so much. We have been to the WL for dinner at Artist Point and lunch at WCC, but this will be our first time staying there..or any Deluxe resort for that matter. I get the feeling our WDW trips are about to get more expensive. I am also interested in trying the Beach Club and my biggest dream is the Poly. DH wants to try AKL too. And people wonder why we keep going back. Always so much fun and lots of new stuff every trip.:cool1:

I got a pair of Keens (Venice) and Teva flip flops (Mush) along with hiking non cotton socks to get ready for all the walking! We have also rented the car for Alamo. We leave for DL in less than 2 weeks and will try them out there since that is just a 4 day trip. I'm thinking we should wear them a little here to break them in a little before we go. I was warned that they were expensive, but I hope it will be worth it.

We got back from Disneyland 6 nights ago and we had an amazing trip. Their version of Space Mountain is just incredible (and the WDW version will be a let down after that I am sure). My Keens and my new nylon socks were incredible. I will be headed back to get more socks before our WDW trip.

Leaving Disneyland was such a let down (as leaving Disney always is), but at least I have this trip to look forward to.

If you are curious about DL, check out my trip report (with lots of pics) in my signature.
