I am so excitedwe make ADRs tomorrow morning!! In less than eight hours I will begin to know what we are able to get!!
Things have been so hectic for us lately. I had gone down to campus at the beginning of the month for my graduate school program. It was the last trip that a group of me and three other really great gal friends would be togetheron campus that is! We made promises to start traveling once a year to see each other. We are going to start by visiting each others hometowns but then move onto other locationsone of which will be Disney. We had such a great time!
So after that weekend, I came home sick but I am starting to feel better. It is going to be an ongoing battle and require some lifestyle changes (mainly not eating my beloved bread anymore ) but I will survive! It is good motivation to work my butt off (literally) losing the last of my fertility treatment weight.
We have been trying to get back in the swing of what resembles a schedule here at home. DH and Lilian have been battling colds, so they are both finally feeling better again too. This is the roughest part of my semester too with projects piled up on each other. Once I get done with March, it will be relatively quiet luckily for me!
We head off to North Carolina in just over a week. I am looking forward to the lovely warm weather! I may have to bust out Lilians spring/summer clothes for the trip but I have to check to see what short sleeve shirts in her drawers still fit. She has hit a growing spurt so they may be too tight or short now.
On the Disney Front: I am looking forward to the downtime to begin sewing clothes for Lilian. Right now I have three projects I have bought the materials for but I have one other I want to do as well. I am so excited to begin them! I also want to finish our scrapbook from the first trip. It will be done hopefully before we head down on this trip!
We are down to 26 weeks!! We went to see the Princess and the Frog at the theatre this past weekend. We had a great time. It was Lilians first movie and she LOVED it!! She asked to see it again. Little does she know she will be getting it in her Easter basket in a few short weeks. . Here are some pictures I snapped while we were waiting for the movie to begin:
With that kicking it off, we are going to begin our family movie nights. This weeks choice is Alice in Wonderland (the original, animated version). I am sad to say I have not thought of dinner to pair with it yetit most likely will be a low key affair. Thats ok though, I am not trying to go overly elaborate with them all. If I can figure out something and get it together by then, great. If not we will definitely curl up on the couch and eat popcorn together during the movie.
Along with the movies beginning, we will also be doing what I refer to as Disney School. We will be working through the alphabet and numbers among other things. As we do, I will connect whatever letter we are learning about to Disney related itemscharacters, attractions, food, etc. so she can start learning about all the fabulous things Disney she will encounter on our trip. We will also be discussing the various parks and what makes each special. We will do activities associated with each park (though those are still under development). I think we will do these beginning in August so she really can learn about the parks and hopefully build excitement (though I dont think we will need help with that ). I have a TON of fun Disney cds on my computer but we are heading off to the library to get some more. I am hoping to play them in the van and around the house. We will be using Lilians Leapster 2 she got for Christmas much more than we have been so she can do the games on the drive home herself. We also have the Zippity and board games I plan on incorporating as well. I admit I have not had as much time to really think it all through, but I have time!
We make ADRS tomorrow!!! I am so excited and I just cannot hide it!! (see, it is the second time in this one post I mentioned it!) I will be sure to update to let you all know what we end up getting!!
