Finally...a savings during Easter Week...

OMG I am SO HAPPY...we have had ressie/and paid in full for awhile...going the week of Easter, arriving 4-3 departing 4-9/4 day tickets/QSD....I have been calling for weeks, trying to luck up and get free QSD, NO GO, they kept saying BUT you can get so much off the room, but SORRY its blacked out that week...well I tried this morning, I started playing around with the special offer site, clicked the savings link, put my say package in, and low n behold it gave me the 35% off...So I get all nervous, LOL, I called Disney, started talking to a CM, she says yes mam, that is correct but she also says, you can ADD 3 more days of tickets, keep the same days you are coming, same dinning plan, and STILL SAVE...so we have 7 days of tickets instead of 4, 35% off the room, and getting a refund of $460.02....can I say WE ARE HAPPY....

Isn't it great. They opened up the blackout dates a few days ago. There are a few other threads about it already started.

I'm confused about the black-out dates. We're going on 3/31 - 4/3 and thought there were no discounts available (checked Mousesavers and it looked like Easter is blacked out). Am I wrong? Should we call to see if that's been lifted or is the OP talking about some other deal?

Absolutely, call!! We were as lucky as the OP and received the discount off our Easter reservation.

yes, you need to call asap...the discount blackout dates HAVE BEEN lifted...you will get your choice between a discounted stay or a gift card....call, call, call!!!! You will be very happy! We are going the week after Easter (which was also blacked out before) and we seriously saved $700.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO JOKE!!!!

Yes indeed call...I first went to the waltdisneyworld page, clicked on room discounts, then check avalabilty link(vacation pkg), I then put in all my info from my pkg I had paid in full already, when it came up showing the huge discount I saved it then called Disney World, talked to a CM, and we ended up getting the same pkg, BUt ADDING 3 days of tickets PLUS getting a refund of $460.02....

CALL CALL CALL....and yes its still showing black out for EASTER, but you need to CALL ...

Thank you so much for posting!! I just spent an hour (almost) on the phone, but, I saved an additional $424 on our room only ressie This is the third time I have changed our ressie to save money--so I saved us almost $1000 just on the room!!!!! Woohoo When I first booked there were no discounts available at all (normal for us, this is the first trip where we've been able to take advantage of a discount).

Honestly that was my same thought when I saw your ticket length verses the number of nights you are there. Just to let you know the price difference per person changing from a 4 day ticket to a 7 day ticket is only $9.

Did Disney just modify your reservation or did you have to cancel and rebook? We're already paid in full and I'm hoping to modify...Did they charge a change fee?

Last night I was able to apply a passholder discount to our 6-night stay at the Wilderness Lodge (May 27th - April 2nd). We saved $1,021. I was pretty ecstatic.

They modify it and no fee was charged. We are going 3/30-4/8 and we saved $700

You read that right, ticket length verses the number of nights, we are traveling in our RV, so we we will do a park on Friday, leave when ever, stay in a campground just like we had originally planned, then drive the rest of way home on Saturday....and as for the price change form 4 days to 7 in our eyes its still a great deal to us....and if we don't use THAT last day ticket, so be it we have not lost nothing...
