HHI Grand Villa likelihood at 7month mark

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the chances are of getting a HHI GV @ the 7-month mark?

We'd like to head down there for a mini family reunion the first weekend in November. I realize there are only 5 GV's to be had, but I'm hoping early Nov will make my chances a little higher.

Any thoughts?

My guess would be that since you've picked Nov and kids are in school then you have increased your odds on availability.
More folks are battling for those few Grand Villas during Spring and Summer break.
As a back-up plan can you accept or afford the points on multiple 2 bedroom villas in the same building?

Thx, Chum & Plutofan. We could def do 2-2bdrms, I'm just hoping I get lucky and score a GV. We'll still need to do a 1 bdrm also, but it'll be nicer to have the larger dining table. Especially being Turkey Day and all

You must be one of those people who celebrates holidays on the holiday. We have Christmas in January, birthdays two months late or two months early, Thanksgiving in October. The family is spread out, my sister and her husband work in hospitals and don't always have the holiday off, my husband works in retail and tends to be really busy from Halloween through the first week in January. You have holidays when everyone can get together.

Last October I called at the 7 month mark and was able to book a HH grand villa for 5 nights beginning on Mother's Day this coming May. I wasn't able to call until early afternoon, but it was still available.

Thanks for all the extra encouragement And yes, I goofed on the date, I meant Turkey Day weekend.

Last year we celebrated early, and even still the whole family couldn't all get together.... but this year we're taking the traditional route and everyone will be able to make it. We're thinking of taking day trips to Charleston and Savannah...

Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers. So happy to hear that others have had success at the 7-month mark

Good idea. Remember that Charleston can be 4hrs of total drive time and Savannah only 2. You may already know this but just throwing it out there.

I'd think your chances for Thanksgiving and it's weekend are VERY low while the other weekends before and after should be much better.

Hey Sammie, I did mess up in my first post..... but we're looking to go Thanksgiving weekend (probably Tues/Wed thru Sunday), and I realize that lessens my chances. But we'll be Ok with 2 2-brms.... the larger space/table/kitchen would just make things easier
