Codes and Free Park Adminision (Volunteer)

Just curious - has anyone completed the Volunteer for free one day Park Admission and then received a PIN code? Just wondering if they are able to tie the two together.

Give A Day, Get A Day (or GAD) is completely independent of all pin codes. The tickets are seperate and are available to anyone. PIN codes are good for guests only staying at Disney Resorts (and to entice people to stay there). If you got a PIN code for a package (room + tickets) the GAD ticket can be used for FP exchange cards or a special figurine instead of park admission. On multi day tickets the 'value' of the Give A Day ticket is very little.

If you get a room only pin code you can use your GAD ticket for admission to the parks and you can use your GAD ticket to upgrade in the parks to mulit day ticket. Lets say the GAD ticket is worth $80, a 5 day ticket is $200. You use your ticket to upgrade so out of pocket you only pay $120.****

No not me. We did our volunteer time and received our vouchers about 3 weeks ago and nothing. NO PIN FOR US

We volunteered on Saturday 2/20 (Linus Project ). On Monday, we received a thank you email via Disney Destinations for doing our GAD with a PIN code (a pleasant surprise ). The voucher email arrived on Thursday. I'll cut and paste the thank you email below (note that I had put in my GAD registration that we were thinking about coming in Oct):

"We just wanted to write and thank you for being part of our “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” program. We also wanted to tell you how excited we are to hear you’re thinking about coming to celebrate with us in October! You’re going to have such a magical time!

But with all the fun there is to be had, you’re probably going to wish you had even more time to take it all in. No problem. Because with these three great Disney Resort hotel offers you’ve got to pick from, granting that wish is easy!

We just signed up for the GAD promotion about 2 weeks ago and just got the same email.

We signed up and picked out volunteer activity and then a week later got that pin that goes until Dec 16th.

I just did this code too about 1 week after doing GAD

I have never received a pin code before, but I did GAD and after getting the voucher email have since received four - yes I said four - pin code emails! Unfortunately we are planning to go over the Christmas holidays this year and of course none of them are for those dates...
