I am thankful to have the % off don't get me wrong, but FREE DINING???? I am not feeling like we got the best deal either???? I'll be sad that I'm paying for food that others got for free Am I a bad sport?? We are going April 16-24th and I'm praying for this to come into my e-mail

We're going in late August - we don't need free dining - we need the % off the resort room - only going for 2 nights (long story) Anyway, if we don't get the % off it's the Pop Century - if we get the % off its AK!!!

Does anyone know, when they extended FD last year through August - did they also extend the % off the rooms? We took the FD last year (there for 11 days!!!)

But you are forgetting that those getting "free food" are paying full price for their room. You are getting a % off of your room but are paying for your food. Free dining is not always the best deal, either. For a family whose kids are 10 and older staying in a value resort, free dining is likely the best deal. Those who stay in deluxe resorts will likely save more with a % off code. We are saving much, much more with 45% off our stay at the Grand Floridian (same dates as yours) than we would save w/ free dining. Make sure you do the math before you lament that you haven't gotten this pin.. you may be doing better w/ your % off.

I already crunched the Disney math and the free dining pin even upgrading the quick serve to Basic dining would save us......$499.74 that alot of $$$$. I know if we had kept our original ressie for AKL it would have been the % off being the better deal. I have been back and forth with this and should have NEVER looked at the Codes/Rates board My eyes saw something about free dining 2/28-7/3 and my brain went cuckooo

I did the number crunch also. We're staying @ POP, mid May, 3 Adults & 1 two year old. With 5 nights in a standard room, 4 day basic tickets & Dining Plan the total came to $1835. IF we were to get the QS code and upgrade to Basic dining plan and loose the room discount, the total would be $1,539. That would save me $296. A nice chunk of change in my book. I called, but no code in any of our names. So, here's hoping that they do a public code or have pity on us and send us the PIN.

I would like the pin just to see how much of a difference it would make in the cost of my trip. We atr plannung to go in May, and are planning to use the deluxe dining plan. I can not do all quick servce, so i would have to upgrade.

Yup! western ma, but its mostly SLUSH!! Still waiting for that magical PIN!!!!

To figure out the difference I just priced out the package with no dining, and that would be the price for free quick serve dining, then I added the difference between the quick serve and the basic dining to that total and voila that is where I got the difference of $499.74!!!!!!! Anyone with me on the fact that it is a BIG difference?????

$2,782.83 POP 30% off, 2 adults 2 kids (9,11) Basic dining/ 8 day base tix.
$2,283.09 POP everything else same EXCEPT pay to upgrade to basic dining!!!!!!

My mother got the free QS pin. No black out dates and valid until July.

Unfortunately A) she is not going B) Im going, but in the fall and C) you could not upgrade the pin for the price difference???

CM I got seemed annoyed at me for asking a bunch of questions and the kicker was when I asked him to check if I had a pin. I dont think he even looked..just immediately said NO!

for us our package was $4450 for 14 nights 10 day park tickets
and regular dining at CSR for 2 adults 2 kids (8 and 5) with the 35% off code
then with the quick dining pin it dropped the package to $3793

so we upgraded to the DDP and bumped up our 8 year old to a 10 year old and our package is now $4410
so we are not saving lots of cash we are using the savings to up DS to the adult that saves us from having to supplement him out of pocket and him from having to eat off the kids menu for 2 weeks
before the quick dining pin it would have been $454 to up grade him.
so for us the quick dining pin had about about a $320 value, more then the 35% code
I think if I am figuring it out right
