Hello,

Our family is staying at the Beach Club and we are comtemplating dinner at one of the other resorts. How difficult is it to get from the Beach Club to either Poly (Kona or Ohana) or Animal Kingdom (Boma)? Any other suggestions for having dinner at a resort restaurant that would be somewhat convenient as we will not have a car.

Thank you,

Hi!

To eat at the Poly you take the MK bus from BC and get on the monorail.

To eat at AKL you can take the AK bus, or I guess the MK bus too, and get on the AK bus at either park.

Give yourself some extra time and you'll be fine:) we are doing the same thing for our upcoming BC trip

Or option B you could walk through EPCOT(park hoppers passes) get on the Monorail to TTC for the Poly or Grab the bus to AK. Not any quicker but if you leave early or happen to be in EPCOT anyway its an option.

Getting to BOMA from BC was the biggest PIA for us.We took a bus to AK then another bus to the AKL..It took forever.Next time we will do Boma on our AK park day

Do not go to AKL via the MK bus! That bus goes in a completely different direction than you want to go to to get to AKL and will add significant travel time.

The best option is to take the bus to AK and a bus from there to AKL (we did that last year and total travel time was 35 minutes). Another option is to walk or take the boat to DHS and take the bus from there to AKL.

Of course, a cab is easiest of all. It costs money, but avoids wait times for two buses.

Even in the best of circumstances where you time the boat to DHS perfectly and get right on the bus from DHS to AKL, it's still a 1000 times better to just take a cab. If I had to do the WDW transportation, I wouldn't eat at AKL while staying at an Epcot area resort.

Thank you,

unless it is on the monorail, if we are going to another resort for dinner, we always take a cab. Saves so much time and aggravation. yes, it costs money, but IMHO time is money and we just budget it in.

I also would recommend taking a cab for dinner to these locations. We have done this in the past and feel less stressed not having to worry about the timing to get there in time for our ADR. Cab to Poly should cost about $15 with tip.

We're staying at BC next month! We love Ohana, and we always get our ADR at the end of a day we plan to spend in MK. So then it's easy to just take the monorail from MK to the Poly. On the way back, we plan to monorail back to EPCOT and walk through - just because it's fun and we like to walk after dinner. This certainly isn't the fastest way - that would be cab as previous posters mentioned - but we enjoy it. (We haven't eaten at AKL because of the transportation issue, but it looks like they have great options!)
