Reservation Line

Called the reservation line (w-disney) today and am thoroughly annoyed by the new automated system. I'm used to pressing a button for no grand gathering, yes I've been before, yes more than 5 times and viola, person. Today I spoke my phone #, address #, zip code, spelled my last name and first name all in addition to the usual questions, just to get to a CM. And then I had to give that CM that information all over again in the course of making the reservation. I've always thought of such extensive automated systems as being for a customer service line, someplace where they actually want you to hang up. Not for an order taking line where they are actually generating business. If Disney reads these boards, please lose the new system.

On the upside, I got the GF for $266/night, score:thumbsup2
 
**Amen *** I agree just to pay I must have spent 25 mins.=== to answer all their Questions ----- ;) But I'm still Happy I'm going to Disney.....
 
Last time I called (about 2 weeks ago) the CM told me what to say to by pass all of that -- unfortuantely I can remember what it is. :rotfl2:

At the beginning of the call when they ask why you are calling you can say something like reservationist or cast member or operator. Darn but I can't remember the word she told me. But it is a single word that transfers you to a human being and bypasses that silly system.
 
ancestry - that's awesome! Next time I call to make a payment I'll just try all those options and see which one works! :rotfl: I mean, I love calling Disney but the new system really is a bit ridiculous!

I use "Agent" when I am calling and the automated voice asks me "do you want to speak with an Agent" and I say YES:laughing:
 
I just say whatever pops into my head and the system routes me to a CM. Last time it was nothing that I could repeat on a family board for my ressie number and I got straight through. ;)
