Some questions regarding BCV-please HELP!!

We(DH,myself, DD's ages 12,10,7, DS 2, sister and my Mom)are planning a trip the week before Labor day this year. First time venturing away from the Poly and because of the size of our party (8) we are staying in a villa. Have almost 100% decided on the BCV's due to closeness to Epcot and DHS and pool. However...here are some of my questions/worries and I hope someone can help.
Am I correct that BCV's have one king in one BR and one queen and sleep sofa in the other and another seeper in the LR. Do any of the BCV's have 2 queens in the 2nd BR....and if not, will my sister and one of my kids be ok sleeping on it for 6 nights?
Also with the full kitchen is the table service meal plan necessary...or does it end up being cheaper to pay out of pocket?
If there are no BCV's with 2 queens in the 2nd BR...do you think it would be better to pay for 2 connecting rooms to have 4 beds??
Lastly...since we are accustomed to the Poly and the "theme" there...will beach club feel totally different...but a "good" different??
Sorry to obsess but we are trying to make this trip extra special since this is my Mom's last time she will probably be able to travel with us due to her declining health.....

Some BC 2 bedroom villas have 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom (these are called dedicated 2 bedrooms), and some have the queenbed and the sleeper sofa. I just reserved a dedicated 2 bedroom for September, but I am a DVC member, so I don't know how reserving one thru Disney works. We rarely use the full size kitchen in our villa, as I am on vacation and do not like to cook on vacation. We do eat in our villa for breakfast every morning - we save some money that way. We usually do the disney dining plan, as we love eating different places. Beach Club is one of our favorite disney resorts. It is great being so close to EPCOT (our favorite park), and the pool is awesome.

You can request a dedicated 2 bedroom, however we have always found the sleeper sofas perfectly comfortable.

I think a villa is more spacious and convenient for gathering than 2 connecting rooms. You will enjoy the space to congregate as well as the full size kitchen and washer/dryer.

I think you need to crunch the numbers on paying oop versus the dining plan. The dining plan can be a value if you plan a lot of table service meals, are not charged a holiday surcharge and your "disney adult" aged kids will eat that $$ in food anyway. To me, the kitchen is handy for breakfast, drinks, snacks, a sandwich or 2...however I think that people may not be realistic if they think they will return to their resort for every meal. We have used gardengrocer.com to order food and the service is good, but it can be a bit pricey....with the number in your group it could be worth it, especially if you won't have a rental car.

Sorry, had to add that the BC is an amazing resort!! It is breezy and comfortable...the pool is excellent and there are fun kids activities here too. The campfire/smores/movie on the beach is a great way to chill after a busy Disney day . The Boardwalk is a short stroll and is great for sweet snacks, people watching, street performers, midway games as well as shopping and dining. It is wonderful to have hopper passes to hop into Epcot in the evening for a stroll around worldshowcase, last fly on soaring, adult beverage, etc. We also enjoy the walk to DHS....it is a great way for kids to burn off some energy before they have to be more controlled in the busy parks.

Thanks so much for the replies...I think I will try to request a dedicated 2BR and hopefully it will be granted. Also are there different "views" that I should be requesting or doesn't it matter?

The views at BCV are not not great. I never bother requesting a veiw here; I only request that we not be on the bottom floor (I like having a balcony rather than a patio).

2nd this..I was lucky enough to get the side facing Epcot last time.Though we loved the fireworks at night , the view itself was ...meh

Thanks...I actually meant 2 connecting rooms in the Beach Club resort so we could all have "beds" instead of the BCV where we may end up with 2 beds and 2 sofa beds. I am going to try to request the "dedicated" 2BR in the BCV because after thinking about it with my 2 year old he will probably need the extra room to wander that the villa will offer when compared to 2 rooms in the resort.

We are probably in the minority, but we prefer two regular BC rooms w/ 4 queen beds to the 2 BR BCV with 1 king, 1 queen, and 2 sofabeds. Don't get me wrong--the villas are great, particularly the living room space, kitchen, and washer/dryer. BUT, we found we didn't use the extra space that often since most of our time was spent in the parks or at the pool. We didn't use the kitchen as much as we expected to--maybe for breakfasts, but we could do milk and cereal just as easily with the small refrigerators in the regular rooms, and we never really cooked, as it was much easier to walk to Epcot or the Boardwalk for meals and snacks. The washer and dryer was used a few times, but not extensively--it was convenient, but we didn't really HAVE to.

The bed set-up was what is most inconvenient at the villas for us. I don't like anyone having to sleep on a sofabed for a week. And having folks sleep on the sofabed in the living room didn't provide for the freedom to move around in the living room the way we would have liked, especially in the early mornings and late nights.

We DO love the BC, though. SAB and the proximity to Epcot are wonderful. We love the ability to walk outside the resort and right into the world showcase to browse the shops, grab some snacks, and relax and enjoy. When we stay at a MK resort (usually GF), we miss being able to enjoy the world showcase that way...

If I try to book a BCV with the "dedicated" 2 BR's would the CM be able to tell me what my chances are of obtaining that request...or is there no guarentees much like a specific room/building/floor request.
If my "Disney math" is correct when calculating... IF free dining come out...or IF I am lucky enough to get another 40% off pin...(the one I have now expires before our travel dates)....the villa is actually a couple hundred $'s (give or take)cheaper...does that sound right??
