Does any one know how Disney works w this?
We are looking to do a 2 bedroom villa for 4 adults and 4 kids. Total of 8

My parents are thinking about coming for just 3 days of the trip.

Would we be able to have them (2 more) stay in the villa with us?????

2 bedrooms sleep up to 9 (resort depending). If one of your party is under 3 then yes you could have 10 in the room.

oops I was wrong in my statement...
We have 4 adult and 5 kids (one is under 2 also have one that is 3.

So if my parents came the Disney rep said we could put one more in the room...but how strict are they on the policy??
I mean with 2 little kids, can we have the 1 extra adult in the room with no issues or is Disney really against it??

You cannot go over what the room occupancy is.
DVC I believe is more lenient. But I would think that means DVC on points or members. Is that how you are staying on property?
You probably will only know for certain when you call Disney.

DVC is being lenient w/ the 9. Many rooms are being fitted with a sleeper chair to bed the 9th person since so many want it.

If you are already at 9 and want to go to 11, then I'd say both DVC and CRO would be a no go for that. A grand villa would hold 12, maybe see about getting one of those for the 3 days.

And 11 in any 2bedroom will suck. They aren't that big. Even at OKW that would be annoying and they have huge rooms.

Thanks so much for the feedback.

Our decision just got easier as one more adult is joining so we definitely need another room! :goodvibes

yeah - go with the Grand Villas - with that many folks - you will need the room!

I thought they slept up to 12? :confused3 Although having never stayed in one, I can't say. ;)

No they sleep a max. of 9. They are the equivalent of a 2 BR - points wise and occupancy wise (comparing to the 9 allowed in a BLT or AKV 2 BR - nowhere else).

They have three small bedrooms and each bedroom only sleeps two. Two queen beds, a set of bunks, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper chair. Nine people only.

If the OP is not a DVC member, getting a GV is going be very difficult. Just get another studio for the additional guests.

Only the newer DVC resorts (AKV, BLT) officially have two bedroom villas that sleep nine. The older ones, plus the value villas at AKV, only sleep eight (plus one under the age of three). Three year old kids count towards room occupancy.
