question about the soup at AP...a bunch of people keep saying to try it, but i dont think im really a mushroom fan...should i still give it a go? ive never really given mushrooms a chance, but i tend to stay away from them. i love soup, though

You know what, I had read somewhere that if you asked your server for a little taste of it and they'll bring out a little cup of it for you!

Try that first perhaps!

But it really is so delicious! I would hate for you to have to miss out on all that deliciousness!

Loving reading this, we did Flame Tree BBQ too, and those birds really are crazy and aren't shy at all!

Artist Point looks great - and its a great excuse to have a look around the resort!

Flame Tree looks pretty good! We usually do Yak & Yeti...give it a whirl next time! My DH feels the same about AK, but we still go after much coersion.

And I did 'ooh' and 'ah' over the pic of the cup...you have a fabulous camera! Such depth and detail!

Can't wait to hear what's next!

Subscribing. Like what I've read so far...thanks! We will be back in March and we don't try 'new' things as often as we should; so Artist Point might be in order if we can get it. We did Deluxe Dining last trip (yep - lots of food) and the jury is still out as to whether we'd ever do it again.

You've picked a good mix for me - some we've tried, others on our 'to do' list. Can't wait to read more.

I love FTB and the pulled pork sandwich is just delish.

I agree with you on the CM's to scold part. I hate when people feed them because like you saw they swarm around you and then you hear yells because the ducks are pecking at your leg, but seriously what did you expect, you stopped feeding them!!!

we have eaten at Konas, but not breakfast (maybe we'll have to rectify that situation!)
I have also wanted to try Artist's point, we have only eaten at Whispering canyon at WL. thanks for the pics and info.
we love flametree, we get the ribs... yummy! (although, you used to get corn on the cob.. no more) we have split a ribs entree for lunch. the best thing about flametrree, is the seating. most peopl just sit at the first table they come to, and don't know.. to keep walking! there are tons of little tables in secluded areas, with water views, and shaded!

I am looking forward to your review of Tony's. as empty nesters, wwe have never eaten at a MK table service rest.always go for one of the monorail resort restaurants. but we have ressies for Tony's and wee're not comfortable with our choice.

I totally agree with your idea of having CM scolding the bird-feeding guests! It really does affect everyone when they do that. Not to mention that when birds (or any other animal) eat people food, it affects their "droppings", which we as guests have to see!!

So, some simple math: no people food+normal bird veggie food=normal (and less frequent) droppings for guests; people food+normal bird food=bird diarreah with agressive behavior!

If I lived closer to Kissimmee, I might volunteer for that job!

Yes, for sure Yak & Yeti next time! Haha and I do appreciate the ooh's over my beautiful cup pic! I was so stoked on getting my camera for christmas! I have a Canon Rebel Xsi and I love it!

Whispering Canyon is on my to-do list for next time! It looks like a blast from what other DISer's have said!

A very good tip! Yup, there is tons of lovely seating areas if you keep on walking! But honestly, some people are in such a hurry to get their food to their mouths, that they would eat on the ground if they could!

As for Tony's, this was also our first restaurant ever within the Magic Kingdom! Never even had a counter service here! And Tony's was really nice! The food was pretty good! Stay tuned for that!

On my last 2 trips to WDW there has been CM's walking around the tables at Flame Tree handing out the cards that say "don't feed the birds" but I don't think people seem to care.... It makes me CRAZY when I tell my kids they can't do it because its the rules and its not good for the birds then they have to sit and what other poeples kids just doing whatever they choose and feeding them anyway.

We just LOVE Flame Tree BBQ and can't wait to eat there again in April

I don't mind birds, but the birds that wandered around when we were eating were ugly...... and big who would want to feed them and get them any closer.

I agree with you on telling the kids, I am forever telling them they can't do stuff and then see others doing the exact same thing I told them they couldn't do.

Loving the reviews! The birds are pretty bad at that area by Flame Tree, thats why we always get at least one order of chicken, just like to send a message!
