Bed Linens, I hope this is not true

"i can tell you about the rooms being made up. we had a bedbug scare in october at asmovies- wasnt- thank god! however one of the dudes who insepcted the room for us, did tell us linens are swapped out every 4 days. regardless of a newbie in a room or not. so say you check in on day three...yep youre getting someone elses bedding. ick!!!!"

I am really hoping this is not true. Does anyone have any info.

No way. I cannot even begin to imagine there is any truth to that...*especially* at Disney. Anywhere actually..unless it's a real fleabag motel.

I didn't either, but was concerned a bit b/c the poster was reporting that this is what a cast member told. I was really hoping that they misunderstood.

I have heard that it is the bedspreads that only get changed out every 4 days, also heard every week-can't remember if I read it on this board or trip advisor

Don't know how these rumors get started but I sincerely doubt that is the case

Maybe she misunderstood? Maybe the cast member meant that if you were staying longer than 4 days, they change the sheets out at 4 days even if there isn't a new person in the room??

I can't imagine that is allowed. Would it violate some sort of health code?

Absolutely not true. No reputable hotel or motel in the US would do that, and it would likely be a violation of health codes.

I was housekeeping back in spring 2008.

On a stayover we changed sheets every 3 days, unless needed.

And whenever there was a check out. We had to strip room and start over.

Hope this clears anything up.

They always change linens between guests, and if you request it, they'll change your linens every day. But the standard is to change it every fourth day for the duration of your stay.

When we stayed at the BWI this past December, we passed by a room being strip of everything, sheets, blankets, covers(bedspeads) and all. They will change your sheets every day if you request it otherwise every three days. Our housekeeping did it every two days. I don't believe for one minute that the CM was right in what he/she told OP. Must have been a misunderstanding

The way I understood this was that even if there was no one staying in that room, the linens were still swapped out after 4 days. And they didn't just stay on the beds until someone has slept on them.
