Hi I am wondering about discounts that might be coming up for October 2010. I know no one really knows for sure yet but their has to be some good guesses based on previous years etc. Also when will these discounts be released?

Its very stressful waiting on all these options (discounts, airfare, and tax refunds)... I just want to book already!! :scared1:

So im wondering for the other people who are planning or have already booked for october do you suggest to wait for the discount to be released or book then update your package when the discounts come out? :confused3

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

I booked our trip for Oct. 13-18 at POP and am hoping for a free dining plan of some sort to come out. If it doesnt, I might move the trip up to early September, assuming the same dining plan as last year comes out.

I'm of the opinion that if you got the $$$ to book now, put down the deposit and get your name on the books. Plans can always be altered after the fact. Disney is usually very good about accomodating changes.

Yeah your probally right we should go ahead and book as soon as possible. Now we just have to wait on the tax return. Well if everything works out we might be there at the same time!

We will probably stick with our October plans, free dining plan or not. The temps are much cooler than the first of Sept., and yet still warm enough to swim w/o a chill in the air. Plus, my daughter is out of school for fall break, thus reducing the time I will take her out of school by a day or two.

What dates in October are you going?

We are hoping to go sometime during the week of October 11 maybe a saturday to a saturday. Definatly during the 14 and 15 because of fall break for students. (they only get two days!)
When is your daughters fall break?

Her break is Oct. 14-15 as well.

My plan is to take her out of school on the Wednesday before and the Monday after. Those will be our travel days.

Do you recommend booking now at the resort we "think" we want for our October trip and then possibly changing it when we decide for sure? Or, should we wait until our group has made the final decision?

Thanks! princess:

This is just my thinking, but since the minimum deposit is $200 no matter where you stay, I say get your name on the books if you know what dates you are going.

Again, that's just how I would do it, and have done it.

I just booked a couple of weeks ago for the first week in October 2010 with a 20/30/40 PIN code discount (used it for 40% off on a Deluxe room).

We are booked at POR during our kids fall break. We booked with a 30% off PIN, but FD would be better for us. I booked a few months ago as well. Now, just waiting on the best discount!
