The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

that was the first picture of the ductchman i saw with no back, no one else have ever captured it well at least that i have seen on here.

pretty neat, makes you want to watch the movie and see if they ever show it from that side or always from the finished side.

If they do show both sides they probably use CGI to cover it up. :thumbsup2

we got to see the pirates ship on our honeymoon in St Lucia in 2004...they were filming the 2nd adn 3rd series then...it was really cool to see!

That is cool! I would love to see a movie getting filmed. I also really want to visit St Lucia so that is doubly cool. :thumbsup2

I didn't know it was the real Flying Dutchman they had there. Very cool but kinda weird they left just that part unfinished. It looks like it really got hit by a cannon or something.

 I guess that just makes it look more authentic! ;)

Movie studios do that all the time though. For instance in the movie Gladiator they only built about 1/4 of the coliseum and then filled the rest in with CGI.

Proud to be in your top 10 Lessa :goodvibes

Castaway Cay looks gorgeous and how neat it's the real ship. When we went to St Lucia every night a ship from the movie would sail past :thumbsup2

Stepping off the Magic and onto Castaway Cay was an amazing feeling. The warm tropical breeze was so refreshing. I was really looking forward to the rest of the day.

You have two options when you get off the ship. The first is that you can take the tram down to the family beach or you can walk. We decided to walk for a few reasons. The first is that it would be a good opportunity to get some pictures of the Flying Dutchman. The second is that the photo op with Jack Sparrow is along this route and the tram does not stop at it so if you want the Captain Jack photo you have to walk. There are lots of other things you get to see when you walk vs riding the tram as well. It is a quick walk, maybe 10 minutes total, and that is if you are taking your time.

Mom and I were the first people to arrive at the photo op spot for Jack Sparrow. He wasn't there yet so we waited and took the time to shoot some more pictures.

While we were waiting my line buddy showed up. She knew she must be in the right place because she saw me waiting.

Captain Jack finally showed up and he was hilarious, his acting was spot on.

I was so glad that I waited to get my picture with him here on Castaway Cay in front of the Flying Dutchman vs onboard the ship on pirate night. Made for a much nicer and more appropriate background than the ship curtains. Also I got to be first in line this time around as most people were taking the tram or had already gotten their picture with him so were passing up the opportunity.

Why would anyone want to take the tram and avoid that lovely walk? :confused3 Woohoo for getting first in line!! And I totally agree - nothing can beat a picture of Jack Sparrow right in front of the Flying Dutchman! :thumbsup2
