Thongs on board?

lol this is funny..I wouldn't expect people to wear thongs/speedos on a Disney cruise..but I guess it is true I mean if a perosn is comfortable wearing it then what can we say...just don't look too hard..lol...

its weird though...I believe...they don't allow thongs at Clearwater Beach, Fl...I would of thought Disney would have a policy that way..but really there's really nothing wrong with it...its just butt cheeks.

Thanks for all the replies! I never laughed so hard! ..... As for what one poster wrote..."We all have one." Well, honestly.... some people shouldn't wear them (thongs) due to the fact they not only have one butt... they may very well have 2 or 3 or 4 butts! Yikes !!! LOL .... Seriously, I enjoyed reading the replies. I also agree with another poster... pictures would have made things even better, maybe gross, butt better! LOL (Notice the play on words???) Thanks everyone!

That was me talking...butt I guess I was meaning the young women who actually have rather nice backsides.

The one we saw on the Repo cruise (it was a Repositioning cruise, therefore a Repo Thong;)) was at least as old as me, if not older....I'll be 52 next month (and I wear a skirted tankini that covers as much as I can without renting a tent!) anyway...I digress.....she was NO spring chicken, had more than her share of wrinkles.....and she paraded, and I do mean PARADED....herself around in her tankini. Her DH also wore a Speedo, if I'm remembering correctly. They had their young adult kids with them, who didn't seem the least bit embarassed by Mom and Dad (my kids wouldn't be caught dead with me if I didn't dress my age)...... Not only was it more than a little gross, but their behavior made it all the worse.

AND NO....I don't have pictures. I may take some pretty odd pictures, but I draw the line at one point or another. :rotfl:

This thread is useless without pics. :rolleyes1

OK Pictures coming up.

I agree with much of what you said.... but as many of us are aware.... a lot of men out there have very little self control..... (when it comes to looking.)

I love my husband and all you great men out there... but I will never forget one time when I saw an adorable looking family vacationing.... the dad's little girl was trying to get his attention, well, it was obviously else where if you know what I mean...... the mom saw this and looked to see what was holding her husbands attention away their daughter.... what do you think it was???? A very young girl (teen) in a ... dare I say it????:scared1: Yep... a THONG !!! LOL ...... Really, NOT NICE DAD !:guilty:

Now do you go into a cake shop, and not look at all the cakes!!
It doesnt make you fat just looking,

If you see a nice baby, all women will look at it!!!! Doesn't mean you want to take it home!!!

And when that man in his speedos goes to the pool, tell me honestly do you not look?

;):):rolleyes1

Saw one on the WB Transatlantic repo in 07. Next to the adult pool , tanning on a lounge chair, not walking around. She could wear it. Better fitness than I have seen in Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

Yep, just off the 1/23 Western and we had a foreign lady wearing a thong. She had like a 4 or 5 year old daughter, so she was hanging out at the kids pools, walking around, etc. Saw her several times. Couldn't miss her actually, at the send off party she was up front near the stage in a red thong, bending over.....might note the camera crew didn't miss her either, she was on big screen quite a bit, as she was up near the stage.

There isn't any "no thongs" rule on the ship. So it's entirely possible you may encounter someone wearing one.

Not if I can help it! Not my cup of tea. I don't care if they're as cut as Arnold Schwarzenegger circa 1970. :crazy2: I like when a few things are left to the imagination.

I usually look, because its like watching a train wreck...its not something you want to see, but the oddity of it makes you look. lol And then I throw up in my mouth a little.

I know they have done TV studies in this country, and monitored what people look at.

When it came to looking at the opposite sex, a funny response was noted.

Women check out a man, far quicker than a man checks out a lady, -But there was only nanoseconds between them!!!

It might be minutes for people who are ''less fit''.:cool2:

When we were in St. Maarten, we saw a smokin' hot girl in ONLY a thong...no top at all. Of course my husband was seriously checking her out. Then she started running. It wasn't a good scene. Even he was a little grossed out. It was like that Seinfeld episode..."there's good naked and there's bad naked." :rotfl2:

There could be women wearing thongs and there could be men wearing speedos. You can't protect your children from seeing things when you have no control over it. However, you can make sure that if they do see something different that they don't point, they don't say anything inappropriate, and that your reaction doesn't alarm them. While you may believe that bee hinds should be covered, others may not. If you see it, it is best to say that some people dress differently. Most kids won't give it another thought, they only dwell on stuff parents get hyper about.

Amen. They're just behinds. I know it upsets some people, but kids won't care. Well, they'll notice, kids notice everything, but it won't affect them in any way.

On our 1/23 western a couple of weeks ago, I saw one woman with one on in the adult area. Far more disconcerting to me were the men and boys in Speedo's. Fortunately, there weren't many of them, and not a one of them looked anything like Michael Phelps!

Isn't there some law that you have to actually be in olympic swimmer's shape to wear those? :lmao:

I have to tell you that many swimming pools in France don't allow men in the pool in anything other than speedos!! It is a health thing as many men just hang around in their swim shorts as normal shorts and just jump in the pool.

We went to a camp site and my husband and over 30 year old son had to go out and buy them!!! They weren't too happy i can tell you.:lmao: Other, including embarrassed Teens in their swim shorts were told to leave the pool!

Now that's just wrong on so many levels... :lmao:
