What hotel would you recommend for just a 1 night stay. We will be driving down from northern California and will be getting into town late. I would prefer someplace with a free breakfast, that is decent (clean) as we have a 5 and 2 year old. I tried Hojo but this is a Saturday night and they are booked. Sunday we will be cehcking into DLH for our 3 day stay just need a place to rest our heads and clean up in the morning before heading over to DLH. I was trying to stay close as we would love to be able to see the fireworks that night. Any suggestions?? I would prefer to stay between $70-$90 and free parking if possible. Thanks again everyone!!

Travelodge on Ball is supposed to be great for the fireworks-great breakfast, pool, jacuzzi.

Desert Inn and Suites might fit the budget you could check dates. Free limited breakfast, and fireworks viewing deck on the top floor. Anaheim plaza would probably be even cheaper than your budget, but no free breakfast, not sure if you can see the fireworks. You didn't say what your dates were, but I plunked in Feb 2 and Desert Inn was about $89 and Ahaheim Plaza was $49, with the Family Suite at $79! That's cheap!

It has no free breakfast, but the Anaheim Plaza Hotel is close (about a 10 min. walk from hotel to front gate) & inexpensive, usually around $60 a night for a standard room if you book ahead on their website. It's an older hotel & certainly nothing fancy, but all the times I've stayed there, it's been clean, safe (some of the "budget" hotels in the area can be kind of :scared1:), and the rooms are larger than average.

You may also want to check out Best Western Stovall's http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/priceAvail.do?propertyCode=05185 . It fits the bill for "close" and "free breakfast" & you can also see the fireworks from there, though it's on Katella rather than Harbor. Don't know when your trip is, but by booking in advance recently I was able to get a room for around $65 a night. Like the Anaheim Plaza, it is also an older hotel. But unlike the Anaheim Plaza, the rooms (and beds) have been recently updated.

Have fun on your trip!!!

I say to use priceline.com. We are going next week and got the Crowne Plaza for $41.00. the do add a $12.00 resort fee but it's a very nice hotel.

We got the hyatt through priceline for around $50 (during the summer). They also have a resort/parking fee but it's still a great price.

When we had a similar situation, needing an extra first night to crash when we got in late, I checked the normal internet sources and came up with Cortona Inn. We were very pleased. Free breakfast, free parking, very clean and modern. It was cheap for the day we needed it. Check it out and see if it will work for you. http://www.cortonainn.com

Anaheim Plaza for that date is $59 for a 2Q normal room. That's pretty cheap

I love the Anaheim Plaza Inn. We've stayed there a few times for a night when we've had a partial day there and love it. Most of the rooms have been remodeled and I always have good intereactions with the staff. The downside is there isn't breakfast, but we usually just get something at one of the places around there or walk to McDonals down the street. But for the price, this hotel is close, clean, and safe. I've stayed there alone with my little cousins, (2 and 4) and I'm pretty young too and never did I feel unsafe. One night, I got back late and the front desk asked if we'd like to be walked back to our room, a very nice gesture since we were towards the back of the property and I was holding the 2 yo who was out cold.
