We are planning on taking our two dd's back to Disney March 13th-19th. We have had several people tell us how crowded it will be. My assumption is that not everyone gets out for Spring Break at the same time. So, any information from you sweet people would be greatly appreciated. The other question I have is, is it going to be warm enough to swim? My girls love water parks but I hate to buy the water park tickets if it's truly too cool to swim. Thanks so much for any information!!!

I'm pretty sure you can add the water parks onto your tickets when you get there. That way you don't need to get them until you are positive you can go swimming. At the top of the boards is a sticky talking about tickets. I bet the info is in there.

Our spring break is later. It's either the week before Easter or the week after. I can't remember which. I forgot to mention the weather. 2 of the days we were there it was hot, 2 days it was cold. Since that was in April, I bet March is even more erratic weather wise. Accuweather.com has weather history if you want to check that out.

We went last year during our Spring Break and it was crazy. MK closed twice the week we were there. All the parks were packed by noon.

My husband hated it and said we wouldn't be going back at that time again. It didn't bother me or the kids 'cause I kept us going with my fabu tour plans. We didn't stand for long in any lines. Even for meals.

My husband just hates feeling crowded and getting up early to get into the parks early.

Thanks so much! My thought was that most people I know actually have Spring Break in April. Ours seems kinda early. Of course, I do think most of Texas goes at that time! I'll have to check about the water parks. That makes more sense though. My dh is wanting to upgrade to a villa. I could see that if we were actually going to be able to use the pool and such. But, I'm not sure how much time they'll really spend in the water. I'm leaning towards Pop Century and spend the extra money for Circque and there is supposed to be a shuttle launch that week also. Decisions, Decisions. I'll just be glad when I get that all ironed out so I can get excited!!!!

Spring Break season at WDW is March 13 - April 25. There will be plenty of people in the parks. I believe UG's crowd calendar has that week as 7s and 8s, so it will be busy. As far as weather, it could be hot, it could be cold. You'll just have to check accuweather the closer your trip gets. Aslo, it's only cheaper to get the Water Parks and More Option added on to your tickets if you are going to both water parks. If you are only going to one water park, it is cheaper to pay out-of-pocket.

I have been twice for spring break and i can say never again... never ever again, if you dont mind the lines and the crowds its no big deal, but we couldn't even walk and wait for space mountain was 3 hours (it was week after easter and was spring break, other time it was just spring break but not as close to easter). We went in october and it was so much slower, we hope to try february next, the crowd calander lists it as 9's it's tough when you can't take kids out of school though so i totally understand if it is the only time you can go then your choice is made for you but if you could go in a lower season it would be a more plesant trip

We're from TX too, our Spring break is 3/13-20. We went last year and yes it was busy but I use the UG tour guides and they were fabulous. Only day it didn't work so well was Disney Studios, but they had several big rides shut so that pushed volume into all the others. We would be going again (had ressies but cancelled) if it wasn't for being 6 months PG by that time so we pushed ours back to Thanksgiving and the week beyond for this year's trip. Biggest problem would be getting ADRs this close and at times that work for my younger kids.

Still tempted to go though in March if we win the lottery between now and then!!:rotfl:

Thanks everyone for the info. I've already started on the dining reservations. Luckily, my dd's don't really care about the character meals. We went 2 summer's ago. Our first experience wasn't much fun. The girls were sick and we didn't get to see half of what I wanted. I'm hoping to make this trip an awesome memory!!!

we go every year during Spring Break because that is when we are able to go. Is it terrible, no. Sure we stand in line, but its not a big deal. My DD8 brings her Ipod and listens to it. I have an iphone and we watch shows on the disney channel. We talk to each other while we are in line. Sure I would love to go in Sept or Oct when its lower but it never works our for us. Just go in with the expectation that things take a little longer and you will have a blast. This from someone who has went every Spring Break since '04.

Thanks. I'm planning on just relaxing and enjoying it. We went in June last time and between sick kids and the heat we had a horrible time! Not Disney's fault. I just want to make new memories. We're planning on taking 2 days for each park so no rushing!! I'll have to remind them about their ipods. That's a good idea!

Just wanted to add- while our official spring break is the week after Easter, the high school that I teach in will bring their seniors down March 12-18 and my daughter's high school will be down there March 18-25. So it might be a big senior trip time. No matter- you will be there and hopefully will have a great time.

We were there last year during spring break in March. The weather was perfect!! Warm enough to swim even at night. It was also extremely crowded. I waited in line for 2 hours to ride soarin because the fastpasses were gone by 10 in the morning. I don't plan to ever go back during that time again.
