AP & 15 Months?

Yes. I renewed mine online in October, and when I picked up my pass in Dec. they actually gave me 15 months from the day I activated it, so I actually wound up with five extra months. I don't know if it was just a fluke, but that was my experience.

Sounds like a fluke. I did the same thing, my renewal was 10/18/09, I ordered it online for will call and picked it up on 12/5/09. My expiration is 1/18/11.

I renewed mine in Dec too. It expired Oct. 24, 2009, so my renewal was for 15 mo - so thru Jan 23, 2011 (counting 15 months from the original expiration date, not the Dec. activation date).

I guess I just got lucky. Too bad it wasn't typical (although I probably won't use it past Dec. 2010 anyways.

We're going to BLT soon. Yipee! We're trying to figure out what type of park tix to get or if we should get an AP. If I were to purchase an AP now and activiate it 2/1/10 for example, could I pay for the renewal by 8/31/10 and get the 3 extra months added on top of the 12 month renewal period? I'd be renewing really early so I'm not sure if this would work. When one renews an AP, it sounds like you have to get new photos and cards each year?

You would need to renew 30 days prior or 30 days after your expiration date. You get a new card but there are no photos. The 15 month expiration is a temporary perk and could be discontinued at any time.
